must be different on the 86.5. on my 90 i have to remove the all the interior plastic inside trim and both tail lights to remove the center tail light. the lock tumbler is under the center tail and the nuts holding it on are on the inside. to remove the center light you have to remove the...
this may mean your diode is out in the alt. The current flows backwards to a ground point for all three of these lights. the current flows backwards and lights them up. This what was wrong with mine when it had this problem.
i have a aem ems and for my 90T and it has a missfire at 2800 and 3800 rpm. changing the dwell time can sometimes remove the miss for certain ignitors or just move it around some.
what information variables do we need to use this formula to help calculate the dwell time. would you know what...
the bearing, race and spindle has to come apart to get the abs serated sensor ring off the spindle to see if there is anything trapped in the hub. the bearing and everything else is sealed off from this area. if the sensor came apart i guess by your post it may be trapped in behind the sensor...
very nicely done. Especially like black supras.
i have made a few pics like this in years past with 35mm film. you dont know what you have if anything till its developed.
You may want to lighten up the lightning pic with photo shop to bring out the lightning and car some. It would be...
wouldnt think it is necessary till you upgrade the turbo a good bit and other mods. i would think the higher boost you run the more advantage to the FFIM. I dont know what boost level it would be.
i am interested in these too. these are the ones that replace the no. 2 lower suspension arm. the one that goes between the low bushing on the rear knuckle to the diff. it has a cam on the diff end. when i lowered my car i needed a shorter arm to pull in the tire. not enough adjustment...
well hell justin that would mean i would never get to see your car up and running that new big GT turbo.
Why the hell is he offering so much for the car? Does he know what all you have in it and is ignorant of what our cars sell for even on the high end?
I am not sure if i could sell my...
you have to remove the entire spindle and unscrew the retaining nut and pull the bearing apart because it is the only way to remove the hub assembly. the dam abs ring wont allow access to the stud. You will need to buy a new bearing for the spindle because you will get debris in the bearing...
i drilled down by the curved part of the firewall below the brake booster. It will come out by the steering column but high enough up not to be seen inside. It allows easy access from the engine bay and somewhat from inside.
I have two holes in this area for wires. Other way is to cut a...
glad to see you are finally getting a wiring harness to go with that $6000 rebuild. It is a good investment to go along with the rest of the money you have spent.
Everyone should get a new harness if you plan on keeping the car for a while. It will avoid so many problems.
I am trying to use the aem and the idle control is a bitch. After the engine warms up to 194* i can set the idle % for the valve to be used to idle at x rpm so that the ecu has to close the valve % by -2 or -3. The idle learned value is -2 or -3% for now. so i have set the valve more on the...
thanks for the info. My crappy gauge on the freon bottle says about 27 or 28 psi low side and is blowing cold. I went to gulf shores, AL with teh low freon and sweated my way back. Topped off the freon and now a/c is cold.
good to know. It sounds like the early 89 harness is basically an 88 with the 89+ ecu. confusing that a car made for 5 years has 5 different wiring harnesses. Screwing around with the pinouts of a 89+ engine harness to add the 88 body plugs so it would fit the body harness would be a PITA.
Lagged:
You need to read this post a little bit closer. Getting a good harness for 88 down will be a problem. If you switch the engine harness from 88 to 89 or 90 you will need a 89+ ecu but the other plugs will not plug n play into the body harness plugs that the engine harness uses. The...
