like i said many are using the stock fpr with no problems. AFPR is just another area for tuning. Raising or lowering the fuel presure is the same effect as getting larger or lower size injectors. some companies gauge their injectors at different fuel presure. I think 43 psi is the normal...
I dont know who makes these lights or the old ones. I am just glad someone made the lights again after that long wait. I saw many posts requesting them but no one had any.
I am currently pulling my engine to replace some oil seals and see if my balancer is bad or if it has damaged the crank...
also remember that when you increase boost, which you will do if you are needing 680s, that with each pound of boost you will need another pound of fuel. If you are running 23psi boost that is about 15 psi more boost over stock and your stock FPR will need to supply more fuel over stock fuel...
After a 5 month wait clear front corners were finally manufactured. They came in today and are being installed. I have some smoked covers for the front also but i was waiting to get some clears to go underneath which i think will look better than the orange bleading thru. in need to get some...
sorry,
act pressure plate (PP) that hpf sells i think has 3600 lbs pressure and is what i use with their 6 puck bronze.
i am having to pull my engine to replace main seals and check my harmonic balancer (HB) to see if the rubber is gone. why dont we exchange clutches and compare...
the feramic sounds like a great disk.
I have the 6 puck sprung bronze with act HD pp. I also have the fidenza flywheel. I have to rev it up over 2000rpm to engage from a dead stop in daily driving. The car will bog because of the lightweight flywheel if the rpm is under 1500. Engagement is...
Isnt 2 bar 29psi not 36?
a manual boost controler will have a different top boost amount for each gear and load ie going up a hill in 3rd or 4th will create a different psi result each gear. thats why manual boost controlers suck. Using one to get 24 psi would create higher and lower...
are we talking about the inner tie rod ends that come out of the rack or the tie rod ends that connect to the knuckle at the tire? the tie rod ends connect to that and the inner tie rods. the other end of the inner tie rods is connected to a joint inside the rubber boot and it will spin freely...
How could he dianose that the inner tie rods are bad? There is a joint at the end of the rod inside the rack but i would think the seals inside the rack would be bad first.
what are the symptoms or problem with the inner tie rods?
Are you sure that the upper bushings on the front and back are the same? Superpro's website doesnot even say they have the rear upper arm bushings and i think they would know if it was the same. That would be really helpful if so and logical.
also i have been told that the place on the tail light where the red piece meets the rear mounting piece that over time it will loose its seal. the two pieces are moulded together here and if you smear some flowable silicone here (with the light off) it will seal off the light. next time i...
i sealed the holes in the hatch frame with silicone. the frame down the sides has a hole in the corner at both ends that may allow water in that collects in the valley the hatch sits in. I had water in the hatch plastic interior cover all the time after rain and i think sealing this up helped...
I know that the HKS upper pillow ball mounts that i have on my car are the same for the mk4. the part numbers are the same. I dont know about cusco if they use different bolts but the bolts on the hks mounts fit snug in the rear mount holes.
i bought some 720s for a good deal instead of getting 550s. Like you said why buy twice. I am using an aem ecu to tune and it works well. When you use a safc type piggy back you may have trouble getting an idle because if i am correct the oem ecu will only go down to 3% duty minimum at idle...
may be a ground. It may heat up and not ground properly. Check the one and clean them on the intake above the back knock sensor and the one over on the passenger wheel well. Make sure the ground wire to the coil packs is in good shape.
Swain tech does. They say theirs is not subject to flaking off like some coatings do. There is some good info at swaintech.com but of course it is to sell you on their coatings. they cost a little more but i do think their coatings are better than just ceramic coating. I would really like to...
I used Swain tech. You can talk to the head man Dan. I have my pistons tops with gold coat and the skirts pc9 i think. i also had the exhaust ports of the head and back side of the exhaust valves coated to keep out heat. Oh and the combustion chambers. that way all the areas that have heat...
