I just bought gaslights AEM_EMS YEA

when you wire in the ait and map sensors be sure that the wires you install for these will not interfere with the oem wiring harness when you may have to remove the engine in the future. i had to cut a wire to the ait because it was wired in a way that would not allow me to remove the oem...

    1987 MK3 Problems. Gulfport,MS

it would also be a good idea to check engine codes. if you plan on keeping the car for a while a new wiring harness is always a good idea. they are nice and flexable, pretty, and expensive. but you will not have to worry about wiring problems as long as your safc is wired in properly. it...

    GT42 build done and running.

From small minds come small wonders. j/k freakin awesome set up. try not to blow it up. I am still tuning my aem. it seems it will be a continuous endeavor. how difficult was it to squeeze in that dp? is it 4 inch to the end? i would like to know what boost levels you intend on...

    The new SP61GTBB

ive got the sp61gt with down pipe. they did not have the dbb available when i got mine but am thinking about upgrading to dbb. i think it would cost me $750 to do. plus the 3 week (or 3 month) time to upgrade. may be worth it as i would like the quicker spool up time.

    Quote i got from machinist

line hone is when he uses a special tool that will hone the main caps and block to round and make sure they are perfectly in line from front to rear just in case the block has torque a little so each main journal is not exactly in a straight line anymore. of course this is done when all the...

    Quote i got from machinist

you may already know most of this but just some quick info: (de or re?) deglaze cylds 45.00 need to bore to round again so you will know what size your pistons will need to be. this has to be done first so you will know if a over size is necessary. (cant really read this one) RHR...

    power on stock internals?

using stock components treated correctly will make a reliable engine. even the oem pistons are worth what 450hp? maybe more for some. tuning is everything in reliablility and how close to the edge you want to take it for that last 15hp or so. destressing the rods and then shot peened...

Why I ditched my 7MGTE and went 2JZ NAT with AEM

arent the 2jzGE rods weaker than the gte rods? but the ge rods i was told will still do 600 hp. How do you change over the ignition system from ge to gte for the aem?

    Lightweight flywheel worth it?

it also depends on what disc you run. i had the act pp and hpf 6 puck bronze disk with the fidanza fw. it was a quick engagement but was streetable. it is very responsive and revd quick. It took some getting used to starting up. some people cant drive it. the problem was that the...

    December meet in Baton Rouge

I may be able to get mine up after the 15th of january also. I would like to have my car there. Of course it is hard to tell what the weather will be doing at any date. The next two weekends are close to Christmas and that would make it difficult to have the time to go out of town.

Questions about new pistons and bearings...

most likely just one size up. but it is always best to order pistons after the block has been checked out. That way you will know with the info from the machine shop what size you need. also you will need to know how much metal will need to be removed from the deck and head to see what size...

    some more rebuild questions

for your turbo question. if you plan on using stock fuel management i would go with a 57 trim ct rebuild. if you go bigger some piggyback fuel management may be necessary but it is no problem with a 57. Also i and others believe the longevity of the 57 trim is much better than larger ct26...
