    if the spark plugs were submerged in oil and oil gets under the spark plug caps it may cause ignition problems. I would not think it would shut off the engine tho. if the oil is deep enough it would run crappy.

    i dont see how another brand other than toyota could last longer or be better. OEM seem to last an extremely long time. When you install them you will need a press and if you have abs be careful not to distort the abs sensor ring around the hub.
