Turbonetics t61 flows ~70lbs of air.. Its capable of 500whp and more...??
Yea, fuelpumps can only flow a certain amount of fuel and are not dependant on injector sizes.
Yea, it hit 16 psi by ~6500 then creeped to my 17 psi boost level.. This is on a 2.5L with your same cams (264s) with a journal bearing t67 .70 a/r.
I ran my stock bottom end 1j to 7700 rpms all the time.. dont be scared :) Hell I even had stock valve springs (why I stopped @ 7700).

:slap:
Rev it higher. You really need to look at your dyno graph (but I'm sure you haven't reved that high) but I'd bet money that your horsepower is greater at 8k then it is at 4500 rpms. You want to try to keep your average horsepower as high as you can through out the whole drag run. So by...
With boost cut dont worry, just keep cranking the duty up (in Start Duty) till you reach your desired boost level. Remember thought with the lower load in 1st itll take longer to spool (6k range) and Rev 1st gear out. Your engine is built so I would run 1st to 8k.
Yea a 10.5 would fit. But you'd probably have to stretch a smaller tire (275-265) to fit in the stock fender. Of course with the right offset (probably ~ +25-30 with a coilover).
I'll check my old logs, but im sure I got full 17 psi in 1st gear. It didn't hit till like 6000 rpms though (my t67 1jz with 264s).
its your boost controller. Set boostcut in the ems (if it has it) or racegas into the car and play with the start duty settings. Add like 20% in first gear...
