The main reason to get rid of the fuel dampener is to eliminate the restrictions associated with it and the restrictive banjo fittings on it, to help maximize the fuel pumps capacity.
The two aristo ecus I've had were 92-94, so maybe the laters had a higher rev limiter? (one was my old 2jz car I sold after taking the AEM off, the other was my buddy's old 1jz car with an aristo harness/ecu).
1jz Map sensor will work, the scale will be a TAD different, but a safc will tune...
1. Yes
2. No, Convert your harness for sequential.
3. Tuned for 440s. Due to the better timing control I'd say up to 680s-720s would be fine.
4. 6700 Rev limiter
5. Yes
The stock 6spd mkiv ecu has a 7000 rev limiter iirc for a bit more revs. Just get a VPC/Map ecu to convert to speed density.
Take apart the cluster and look at the gauge. I've seen several times on the back the needle came off the motor (probably not wording it right, its been a year since I've seen the back of one).
Flex as in?
The hardtop is a more rigid chassis, but the targa will be fine for pretty much anything. I assume if you're going to race it you'll be adding a cage to the car so that'll strengthen it even more.
The R154 isn't proven much over 600-700 hp. With some of the Marlin Crawler...
Driftmotion sells a kit. I asked him about it since I was doing a custom setup, he said its a custom fitting he had made, so he worked with me to get what I needed.
I got a bunch of wiring diagrams for the 1jz, give me and email address and I'll send em over to be put up (they were on that old site with the guy with the 92 teal supra on IS300 wheels).
Excellent, thanks. I was searching Revolution brakes/bbk.
The supra rotor isn't hubcentric either. (the ST185 kit isn't as well as it uses a MKIV TT rotor).
