Here is an old moulding. Here you can see that the inserted part consists of two layers (marked by the blue and red arrows)
On the new trim the transparant part marked by the red arrow is missing.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a production error or did they change something?
I just bought a new right hand side rear moulding from Toyota and it doesn't look like the original at all.
The profile of the small lower part (the inserted rubber) is totally different from the original one.
What is going on?
Going to do the suspension this winter and I'm wondering how the kits from Ronnie K and Energy Suspension compare.
Ronnie makes different kits in terms of hardness. How does the Energy Suspension kit compare to the RK kit (RED / YELLOW / ?) in this regard?
Does anyone have an oppinion on the...
I have a little bit of play in the steering wheel. Not much but it is very apparent at speed - makes me constantly adjust the steering wheel.
I think it comes from the rack (after changing the different other parts of the steering column).
It is driving me nuts.
I've been told that the...
I'm trying to configure a traction control system and I need to know how many pulses the front wheel ABS sensors pick up pr rotation of the wheel.
I know that the rear sensor gives 32 pulses pr rotation of the driveshaft.
Does anyone know how many pulses for the front sensors?
I tried it today. It doesn't work. I think the problem is that the SP2 signal from the ABS computer varies between 0 and 5 V and the Aristo SP2 signal goes from + to - and the ECU probably detects the transition between + and -
So to make it work you should shift the signals zero so you get...
No. It works fine. If -SP2 is connected the logic inside the Aristo ECU is tripped and the car won't move an inch. Just leave SP2- NC and feed the signal from either ABS computer or Dakota to +SP2 on the Aristo ECU.
If someone has a transmission from a MKIII without ABS they would be able to...
Also if you need to input a signal instead of letting the ECU read the SP2 sensor make sure nothing is connected to -SP2 and that the signal is connected to +SP2 (so -SP2 is NC at ECU end and signal from either Dakota or ABS computer is connected to +SP2)

I'm running a 2JZ-GTE with a 1999 Soarer automatic transmission with a rear housing fra the mkIII Supra automatic transmission.
I have both speed signals:
SP1 from the cluster
SP2 from the ABS sensor - via the Dakota SGI-5 signal converter. The ABS wheel has 32 teeth so you would need an...
No it doesn't have line pressure cable.
I think the noise is only present i 1st gear. When driving the noise starts one or two seconds after it changes down to first gear.
No the other transmission was silent apart from the custom one piece driveshaft which made a lot of noise when driving at high speed.
Fluid looked clean and as if it had been changed recently.
I have swapped in a 2JZ-GTE into my mkIII. I used to use the mkIV automatic transmission with a custome drive shaft. It was noisy so I exchanged the transmission for a 1999 Soarer A340. It has the same plugs for the valve body as the JZA80 transmission so the stock JZA80 ECU it can actually...
