I'd like to do away with the hydrofan control box and I'd like to be able to add more functionality to the fan.
So does anyone know how the pressure solenoid is controlled? I assume it is powered by some PWM signal. But how? Voltage (12 V?), polarity (which pin is what?) , duty cycles (range...
It is a modified Wiechers strutbrace

Great job !!! You'll be pleased with that engine. I have a mkIII with a 2JZgte with a 1999 Toyota Soare automatic transmission. Works like a charm with a 2JZ MKIV ECU.
Btw talking about rare HKS parts. I have a twin turbo manifold set for the 7M that might be from HKS.
It looks like the HKS kit but the HKS letters in casting are not there. So it might be a HKS kit unless there were other companies that copied their kit which I have never heard about.
Sorry, my mistake. I'm so used to JZ swapped mkIIIs. My kit is for the JZA70, not the MA70. So even more thumbs up for finding a HKS MA70 kit.
I'll look for a turbo. But if you want to look for yourself you can use www.rinkya.com and search the Yahoo auctions through that in English.
They come up fairly often on Japanese Yahoo auctions. I have one of each (HKS and Greddy). The HKS comes in different core thicknesses. I have the 4 inch version. I like it better than the Greddy and the Blitz since it fits much better.
So congratulations on securing the HKS kit.
They are supposed to give a 1 to 1.5 inch drop. It might still be a little high, but I like not scraping anything when I drive around speed bumps and side walks.
