Custom driveshaft: like shaftmasters.com - email them.
Electric to mechanical speedo converter : like the cable-X or grafting in the Aristo/Supra mkIV electronic speedometer
Sort out ABS sensor if you have/want to keep ABS. Can be done with transplanting the pickup wheel from the 7M automatic...
I don't think the Haltech will run the transmission. I'm saying that I just used the JZA80 2JZ-GTE together with the JZA80 transmission and had the stock ECU control both. Less hassel that way. It is also a better transmission. Much smoother.
But you could use the AEM JZA80 ECU and control...
I simply kept the JZA80 transmission. I only needed a custom driveshaft and grafted the ABS trigger wheel from inside the 7M autotrans to the driveshaft flange on the JZA80 autotransmission and made a bracket for the ABS sensor. Then I used the cable-x electric to mechanical speedoconverter to...
You'll need a custom driveshaft and and you need to figure out the ABS if you have ABS (can be done with a bracket and by grafting the pick up wheel to the driveshaft flange). The mkIV also doesn't have speedometer drive so you need either an electronic speedometer or a electronic to mechanic...
It is a US/Euro 2JZ-GTE converted to JDM spec. So detuned to 280 hp to be able to register the car (we are only allowed a 20% increase in HP in Denmark)
So it has 440 injectors, but larger cams and turbos and doesn't use the MAF and only runs MAP and temp sensor. Runs on a stock JDM 2JZ ECU...
I just finished my 2JZ-GTE swap. The engine was fired up at 2 am. Started in the first try. Yeah !!!
My car is a 92 mk3 and I was wondering if the stock fuel pump is adequate for a stock 2JZ-GTE with 330 hp?
I have a Walbro pump here, just don't know if it is needed.
Seems like the best solution is to get the 2jzge autotransmission and swap the rear housing.
For the GTE guys I found this: http://www.supras.nl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=35&Itemid=52
Don't know if it'll work.
I have almost finished my 2JZ-GTE auto swap using the JZA80...
Has anyone been able to wire in the cruise control actuator from a JZA80 into the MA70?
Looking at the diagrams it seems they both have similar number of wires. The mkIII has 8 wires with a double ground and the mkIV has 7 wires with a single ground.
I'm doing a 2JZ swap now and I need to...
I have a mint JZA70 MOMO steering wheel that I'd like to put on the car but it doesn't come with buttons for cruise control.
Does anyone know of a boss kit currently made that'll allow me to retain cruise control and use the MOMO wheel with the center piece?
I seem to remember someone...
I just got standard sized bearings according to the markings on the rods and the crank and used some plastigage to check that the clearance was within spec. And they were.
The numbers printet on the bearings have no real meaning as far as I've been told. The size of the individual bearing is...
It depends on if the engine is from a LDH or a RHD drive car. The RHD carshave much shorter harnesses since the ECU is behind the glovebox and that is situatiated in the left hand side on RHD cars.
I have a question regarding this plug on the Aristo 2JZGTE harness:
The plug with the...
