To isolate the leak, you can also buy an ounce of leak test dye from Lordco that you put into your coolant, that will glow under UV light so it's easy to find. But do Duane's HG test first, or I have one as well you can borrow.
^^ my garrett centered 57 trim CT dynoed 350 at 15psi as well, and 393 at 18-20 psi. This does support the idea that the 57 is already maxing out the CT compressor housing and a bigger wheel is just too restricted. Mine hits 15psi around 3800 rpm.
Yes, some of these are hilarious, yet so many make no sense to me! I gotta visit this place in the future. I use to work for a couple of young Aussie franchise owners who tried to open up a Cash Converters store up here in a lame part of town. The buyer was so stressed out after each day of work...
Both my Supras have remote paging alarm systems. So if anyone does anything, my remote alerts me and I can check it out right away. Great peace of mind, just keep your remote with you at night. (Along with a tazer and tip ties;))
Is your new idler pulley super tight with no play? Mine rolls smoothly but has play when pushed sideways by hand. Also my A/C clutch is the same, rolls smoothly, yet seems to have a large amount of side play. What is normal for these pulleys?
Strange. It looks like SSautochrome and XS Power are the same company, since they have the same fax order number on both websites. Plus I see that the SS321 manifold is much cheaper on the XS website: http://xs-power.com/toyota-turbo-manifolds-14.htm wtf??
Did you buy from their website for $275? Also, is there any visual difference between 321 and 304? Mo87 is selling his but is not sure which it is.
Last time I checked, Drewgo only makes JZ manifolds.
^^Their website only shows one for the 7M and says it is 321 ($275), but their eBay store says it is 304 stainless ($199). Do they offer 2 versions? I assume 321 is better? How can you know what they're really made of?
It looks like I'll need to buy one of these very soon for my new turbo setup. I see that there are 104 of them currently on eBay between $100 and $200, and Driftmotion sells one for $200. What are the differences? Are they all 304 stainless? Or are some 321? All 3mm thick wall? Are these current...
Nice MR2! With some decent power, I'm sure an MR2 would outperform the Supra. I was just looking at an NSX this evening and wanting what I don't have (Low weight, mid engine) :) But it's best to enjoy our cars for what they are.
^^Lol! Pretty funny :) Yes, even under all that flashy modern bodywork lies a 22 year old car that begs for a full restoration. Next upgrades are poly bushings, big brakes, and another 150+hp. I'll dress up the engine bay last, since it's hardly ever seen anyways.
What's the secret to building an engine revving that freely? Lightened crank? Titanium rods? Is the tilton flywheel really light? How much does the dry sump really effect the free revving?
