12psi and 19psi cruise video, she survived!!!

I wish my 7M pulled that hard! I'm having trouble deciding on a .68 or a .82 Exhaust housing on a custom GT35r. Do you find your power fades or the turbo chokes at high rpms? Do you happen to have a dyno sheet and mods list? Thanks!

On the topic of seat belts and safety

Any sudden movement in any direction locks them up. Anyone with a fast Supra feel like when you are driving hard and flooring it, the seat belt kind of "reels you in" and squeezes you into the seat? I bet this adds extra fear into the heart of of a passenger :biglaugh:

    20psi at 2800 rpm's. 800rwhp. Compound turbos!

You can always count on Figgie to spice up a techie thread and make it interesting and entertaining. (With a little drama thrown in) :biglaugh: "Fig Newton" might be a good nickname...;)

Front brake cooling duct in place of the Fog Light

Duct our not, the stock brakes just won't cut it. Plus, a spinning rotor is essentially it's own fan, and pulls a whack of fresh air in through the center and throws it out the edges. Not sure if a duct would make much of a difference.

Launching with 5spds, post how you do it!

I've tried a few launches on some back roads on street tires. It's just like trying to get a manual car to do what an auto does: maximum engine load while maintaining 4000-5000 rpm off the line. This takes skilled slipping of the clutch, up until the car is moving fast enough to let the clutch...

Any benefit for me going from a US AT ECU to a JDM MT ECU?

If this is true, why would Toyota willfully not include it on JDM models? For those that are worried, my car came with a JDM engine and seems to have a USDM ECU (I've never hit speed cut). It is tuned with an SAFC and I've never had any issues, although I do run the highest octane pump fuel I...

Who's car is runing right now

I hear ya! I've got a smoking turbo, worn bushings, and a cracked subframe. But I'm still driving it :biglaugh: (Will fix these things asap!)

    7m with the most miles?

You built a stroker? Any info?

    20psi at 2800 rpm's. 800rwhp. Compound turbos!

It's interesting how all the exhaust is forced into the small turbo first, spooling it up very fast; but at the same time, the exhaust from the small turbo is spooling the big one, AND it is pulling air in through the large turbo, spooling it form both sides(maybe that would overcome the...

    Short dyno pull

Killer power. Are you going to run that psi on the street? What kind of failsafes do you have on your meth kit? I'm strongly considering the Snow Performance flow meter failsafe. It will trigger if the flow is not within a set range, so it will catch both a clogged nozzle, and a hose popped...

    1 pc driveline

My last one had the cardboard, and I now have a Shaftmasters with the foam insert. It is quieter, but still not as quiet as I would like (still sounds like knocking on a metal pole, without the ring). I was wondering if CF might have more inherent sound dampening characteristics, like a plastic...

    1 pc driveline

What's the advantage? Also I was wondering if CF would get rid of the clunk noise when the drivetrain engages.

    intercooler sprayer

I always thought those were a neat idea, but I'd bet that water/meth injection is much cheaper, easier, and more effective. That's my plan anyways: pull cold outside air in, through the intercooler, then final chill with meth.

    intercooler sprayer

It's hard to say which is worse: cool air that doesn't flow as much(OEM). Or a high-flow of blazing hot air directly off the radiator! (Like every single MK4 out there) I think one of the vendors here sells a bolt-on cold air intake kit. Much easier than making your own, like I did.

Side mount camera view. Burnout, etc.

Today I lifted the car up and tried to move the wheel with all my strength, and I can only move it about 1mm, and everything looks to be OK. I guess 350-400hp and stock rubber bushings don’t get along!! Full polyurethane has now moved higher up on my to-do list! How else could someone know that...

2 THINGS-opinions on ISC and who's still running them, and what are these connectors?

You guys just lucked out and got him when he is in a good/giving mood. Most often he has a sadistic joy at saying he knows the solution, but won't reveal it, watching members squirm and struggle trying to figure it out. :biglaugh:

+1 shaftmasters shaft here, it's a quality piece.

Side mount camera view. Burnout, etc.

Thanks Ryan. I'll be sure to replace those when I go full poly very soon! Duane: No prob. The day was so nice, I was itching to go somewhere instead of doing the work I had planned. Hope I didn't scare you too much, now that you know how I really drive... :D Black 89t: The burnout was in a...
