The SEM paint products I used turned out very well. I got great adhesion and durability on all vinyl parts after using their vinyl prep. On plastics, I used their plastic prep, but did not use their plastic adhesion promoter, and found it scratched off very easily. So I redid the high-wear areas...
A turbo blanket would have to cover the water and oil lines on my turbo (due to the CHRA being sunk deep into the turbine housing). Any risk doing this? I'm just about to order one!

It's interesting that you consider a .84 or .96 A/R/ "tight", when so many consider them to be the higher laggiers ones(for a street car). On Supraforums, I so often see Mk4 owners go with a .68 for fast spool. Is it all just a matter of personal taste? Or are you one of the few revving to 8000? :)
I recall reading Jdub saying that ceramic coating the outside of a tubular manifold, but not the inside, could lead to cracking? I just picked up a used ETS manifold that was coated with black, but I can't tell if the inside is or not. There is just a lot of ehxaust soot and what appears to be...
I don't street race because it is unsafe and illegal, but I had this really cool dream the other night!
I was in the left lane and passed an old guy with his wife/gf driving an 80's Porsche 911. Approaching the next intersection, the light turned green and he flew by me pretty quickly. I sped...
Bumping for more feedback and experiences. Also, the center(CHRA) on my custom GT35r is sunk deep into the T4 housing, making the oil and water fittings actually touch the bolts on the turbine housing. I want to put a turbo blanket on it, but it would have to cover the water and oil lines. Any...
I've never bought braided hose before, and this stuff looks like it has defects. My car is full of flaws, I'd just like to avoid adding more if don't have to ;)
I bought some -10 Mr. Gasket braided hose, and it has quite a few of these annoying cosmetic flaws in the braid. Is there another brand that doesn't have this problem? Aeroquip? Russell? My local shop doesn't stock any of these so I can't see them before buying. Thanks
I've heard that this kit does not include 1 or 2 of the bushings in the rear hub/knuckle? Can anyone confirm which parts I will have to order new from Toyota? Or if Ronnie(RK) can supply these?
Lower offset wheels tend to tramline, and pull the car left and right when there are grooves in the road. It may not look as cool, but will be a more relaxing drive. On some of those Washington highways to the last Burgermaster meet, it was a real fight to keep my car straight. Same thing with...
Thanks Jdub. I assume that the GT35 water inlets are not flare fittings if they are suggesting to use crush washers? Do most people still just use thread sealant on these?
It's in here: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39687 but I plan to tap a new hole in the empty flat spot...
It's quite a surprise, and not a pleasant one. :biglaugh: And of course, I chose the deluxe wash that goes around the car 2-3 times! Good thing I brought a microfiber towel for dying, it came in real handy. I had a small puddle in my rear seat bucket. Luckily I have mock suede, instead of real!
