I agree completely with this, although I read somewhere that a few of the designers were supra enthusiasts and wanted a rwd I6, but who the hell knows if it is true. Most likely not, which is why this is just another car and not a supra in my book.
Hey, Clear your PM inbox. I am trying to PM you back but it is full. Please let me know when you empty it so we can talk. Or if you want to call or text me to make this deal my number is 5154012299.
Today, I picked up my turbo manifold and intercooler pipe from my buddy that welded them. I had him cut the old HKS flange off the turbo manifold, and tig on a Tial 44mm flange, I also had him weld my IAT sensor bung into my intercooler pipe.
I also finished up wiring in my MAP sensor, IAT...
+1
All of the parts cars I have had were completely rotted. Mine are ok, but it would be nice to get them in fiberglass, or maybe carbon fiber, but either way this would be a nice part, and if made in fiberglass and sold cheaper there would be a lot of business in this product.
It will wear a lot faster than the oem.
If you want a good oem piece that you can take to the machine shop and have them resurface, I have a spare in my attic I could sell ya for a fraction of the other flywheels you are looking at. I know the resurfacing of the flywheel will be about 25 to 30...
Today I decided I am going to redo my whole fuel system I ended up ordering a Walbro 400lph fuel pump, along with some -8an fuel line and all the fittings I will need. I also ordered a inline fuel filter and FIC 850cc injectors. Really looking forward to this spring after I get it tuned.
I have always filled through the shifter hole, just because I do not have one of those pumps.
Your second question it should be the back up light switch i believe, but don't take my word for it. There should be a plug for it on the engine harness right in that area.
EDIT: I looked around a...
Drilled a hole in my intercooler pipe for my IAT sensor bung, and took the intercooler pipe and bung along with my tial wastegate flange and turbo manifold to my friends to have it tig welded. I am excited. I may get my AEM hooked up in MAP later on this week.
It is decent quality for the price. You really cant beat it. If you aren't looking for huge numbers it is a good manifold. Why are you looking at the t3 over the t4?
I am not sure they make a t3 manifold for the 1j, but I know they make a t4 manifold. They are said to flow pretty well, and I am sure it would be great for your t3 turbo you are looking at. I am in the process of putting one on my 7m, and they are known to put out some decent numbers. If you...
I would also do either the swap, or buy a new engine. The money you would spend on a rebuild would be pretty pricey (about the price or maybe even more than a drop in engine), and if it would fail, you would have to start all over again. If you just want a daily, I would buy a drop in 7m engine...
I would replace the rotors as well. May as well upgrade while you are at it.
I used these guys for my rotors. I got the dimpled and slotted rotors and I am using their pads also. They are very nice, and look good too. I am not sponsored by them or anything (wish I was lol) but they do have a...
This, and hopefully you have a bunch of wobble extensions to put the swivel socket on. Loosen the motor mounts as mentioned above, remove downpipe from engine if you have not already, and lower the trans to get the engine to tilt backwards to make it easier to access the bolts.
I think he is trying to remove the trans from the engine while still in the car. If you are doing it that way, there is two bolts that are kind of hidden. There is one on the exhaust side of the engine twards the top that you can see if you look for it and the other one is on the other side of...
Today I wired extensions on my AEM gauges for signal to the ecu for MAP and Wideband. I pulled out my old SAFC2, and redid some wires I spliced to wire in the SAFC. Tomorrow I plan on wiring my IAT into the harness along with the signals for wideband and map. I will also hopefully have enough...
The three tuners I have talked to locally are overjoyed when I tell them I have an AEM v1 for them to tune. They perfer it to tune with over v2. But they have had experience with those and other EMS too.
And it will most likely never get flex fuel capability, so I would not recommend buying a...
This is the Technical Discussion forum, so AEM does not make a V2 PNP box for the 7m. Driftmotion Modifies a V2 box to be used for a 7m. It is a PNP unit, but is not made fully by AEM.
To answer the OP's question. The AEM 1130 ecu is a AEM V1 PNP for 7mgte no matter what box it is in.
