If you just want to get the bumper and bumper cover off easily, undo the two bolts in the wheel well that screws the bumper to the fender. take off the grills and take out the turn signals, then unplug fog lights, undo the two bolts that attach the bumper to the frame, and pull it off. It is...
That if you want to have room for a little more power or put the stock downpipe and maybe intake on to lower the boost some, which will also lower the power. Fuel cut is a good thing, but it is such a PITA.
I remember when I first put my exhaust, downpipe, and intake on. The car felt like a...
What a great lady. You should get her one hell of a christmas present, even if you don't know her very well. That is just straight luck. Congrats, and make sure to post lots of pictures.
The map sensor will be fine screwed right into your intake manifold. A lot of guys say to put it on a vac line in the engine bay so it doesn't get too much vibrations, but I don't think it is ness art. I have mine in my intake mani and if it junks out I'll know better next time.
Okay, I will keep this in mind, and maybe while I am doing this, I will make a detailed write up with high quality photos too lol. Ill have ask my friend that has already done this to come over and over see me doing this so I don't do the wrong tooth. you can never be too sure. ;)
The map sensor does not matter how deep you put it.
I believe the IAT sensor should be as deep as you can get it, it should be in the air flow. With a FFIM I would put the IAT on the cold side intercooler piping right after the intercooler somewhere. Don't get it too close to the engine, as it...
From a guy used on these forums. I have been searching and waiting for a deal on one for about 8 or so months now. Going to get my transmission back in my 89 and plug it in, and see if shell fire up.
I may be wrong, but I think he may have been talking about the narrow body Supra. I wish I could find one of those swap a 7m in there and have crank windows, and no power seats. (maybe that is in mexico only, I remember seeing it somewhere.)
Yes that would help some.
So at TDC is it the tooth that is closest to the VR sensor? I only have two extra CPS, but would only like to use one for this. I wouldn't mind getting it right the first time.
Thanks for bumping. I have heard of this, but this is the first time I have seen it. I am thinking this may be the way to go with my v1. I believe my friend is running this on his celica supra with a 7m swap and MS2.
Go with either the DM turbo upgrade as seen here http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-57trimct26turbo.php
Or Contact Albert on these forums, and he does upgrades, rebuilds, and sells turbos too.
Either way you can not go wrong with these two upgrades. They are much better than stock, and...
Lol yup. It runs and drives. Need to go through the brakes and see what I can figure out.
It also has masking tape all over the trim and everything from when the PO rattle canned it. The paint is not very good. I haven't decided if I want to part it out, or sell as a whole, or fix and sell as a...
Back on topic ;) I picked up another Supra today. 87 7mgte. I haven't decided what I am going to do with it yet, but I just couldn't pass it up for the price I paid.
Used aluminum strip metal from home depot. I cut, bent, and sanded the corners round so there was no sharp edges. I also used some brazing rod and some aluminum strips to fab up a couple hangers for my coolant resivour. Also I brazed reinforcements on my intercooler brackets to make them...
Over the past couple weeks tore out the r154, tore it apart, and started on a full rebuild with marlin crawler goodies. ;)
My parts just came in yesterday, so I haven't gotten around to installing anything besides the input shaft bearing. I don't have a press at home, so I have to take it to...
