What color wires going to the connector? Black/Yellow and Brown?
It does look like the EGR temp sensor and its connector #20 it that first link. Connector "b" here
PS that thick black ground cable needs to attach to the block right behind the AC bracket, not the intake.
Look for cracks/tears in your accordion pipe. Under acceleration the engine under the hood is moving quite a bit and if theres a crack in the pipe then you'll suck in "unmeasure" air and stumble. I've seen it dozens of times.

Well OEM is 36 Ft/Lbs so you didn't even hit that, assuming your torque wrench is in spec. Sounds like you need to replace the cam.
