that is the absolute only time it stalls out. If I let the clutch out in neutral, it won't stall, but if the clutch is in and in neutral or in a gear but just not yet engaged. Its so weird.
If I'm driving somewhat hard and shift but don't engage into the next gear and leave it in neutral the revs drop and the engine cuts out. I can take my key out of the ignition with the car still running but I've never had a problem with the car turning off while doing this. What could be...
Well I'm getting my supra a full exhaust setup for xmas. Down the road(in a couple months) I will be dynomatting the whole car(back seats/trunk/rear QPs/doors of the car because I'm installing a custom sub box where the rear seats were and custom audio setup.
My question is: If i get a...
It did find its way into a nasty litter crevice/black hole and ended up finding it using some good ole fashion cussin. Thx all, cars running great after the rebuild.
So I just completed my rebuild from the HG. Started the car, runs and sounds perfect. Some smoke coming from around the turbo with a plastic burning like smell, doesn't smell like coolant or oil. New gaskets were placed on the exhaust manifold, turbo to exhaust manifold, turbo to elbow, oil...
I'm currently about to axe murder my neighborhood...while I was trying to put the nut to fasten on the oil line for the turbo to the block, the nut dropped into the oil dipstick hole. How do I get it out, do I have to get it out, will it find it way to a bad place and ruin my engine....please...
So after learning that the torque wrench I was using was older and probably out of calibration, I'm quite sure that I overtorqued(80+ft'lbs) but did so evenly. I'm very sure they are even cause I stopped after each bolt made a bit of a squeak sound(I know thats odd and probably not great)...
*edit* should have posted this on tech board sry
I'm using arp hardware(studs) installed everything per ARP instructions, I put all studs in hand tight w/ washers, then put all nuts on hand tight(used a socket wrench very carefully). Now comes the fun part, I'm using a greatneck "clickable"...
This thread is hysterical BTW. 7m's are the only supra engine that should be used in a supra, supra blue is the best supra color, the back seats should always be taken out, a car should never have stickers, those are for report cards, sawblades bring all the girls to the yard and that should...

Happy Thanksgiving to all as this is my first Thanksgiving as a SM member and yes I'll be working on my car this morning. Hope all have a good one, don't eat to much so your belly's don't let you struggle over your engine bays hahaha.
If there is/was a Japanese version of Christopher...
I'm doing my first ever engine overhaul do to a BHG so I'm learning as I go. Just need to put everything back together now. Before I put on the new head (fully refurbished) I was wondering if there is anything I need to do...aka positioning the cams as they were positioned on stock old head...
