I'm doing my first ever engine overhaul do to a BHG so I'm learning as I go. Just need to put everything back together now. Before I put on the new head (fully refurbished) I was wondering if there is anything I need to do...aka positioning the cams as they were positioned on stock old head when I TDC'd........................ is there a certain cylinder pattern at TDC (my number 1 and number 6 cylinders are up and the others are down), to make sure I really am at TDC, I don't think I messed up, the instructions were quite str8 forward......................
1. New head has 3 angle valve job, new oem springs and valves and new stock cams, got an AMAZING deal on this if your wondering why i went with stock stuff.
2. My main question is about setting the distributor correctly. I'm somewhat confused on how to do this in conjunction with replacing the timing belt and all that jazz.
