less than 2 weeks away. still no idea if the drags are going to be at gld or byron. still dont know what time the dyno starts at sp. no idea when the s&s starts.
id like to have some more details of when and where since the dates are getting close.
rant: and the car show, i really hope it...
for some of the turbos (atleast the 61) you can get a t-350 wheel as well. its a pinch smaller than the p trim, bigger than an o. thats what i would suggest. it will spool a little faster without any sacrifice in power, esp for the range you are looking.
you really wouldnt want an s until...
yes there is still a concern. you can have a safe afr but high egt's due to too high of timing and/or too much boost for the octane.
you know i'll help you out in any way i can. i guess i'll do it for free. i charge $100/hr fee, but i hear you charge $100/hr to hang out with you. so i...
17* base timing? im no 1j expert, but that is kinda high or no?
oh thought id also mention. sp uses a mustang dyno. so the readings you get at the meet (if you were still going to dyno) will be different than what you have as previous baselines.
chris doesnt know if he can make it yet. we just pulled the head off and its at the machine shop. if everything comes back in time we might be able to get it together before the meet.
hopefully i'll still be able to make it up. bringing my son as well.
i plan on leaving late thurs night...
1k i would have bought it without looking at it. 90 turbo is all i needed to know.
you can part it and make easy 3x that. use that money to buy a nicer one.
did you get the tps problem fixed yet? sorry ive been slacking on that. its hard to tell how you have it hooked up but it looks right from what i can see. something has to be off tho...
value for this car is 8750 retail
you would be surprised what would total a car. an engine fire would do it easily, not nec just body damage.
regardless, like i said i wouldnt pay 9k for it. but its not insane for what it is.
i dunno. its a 92 turbo leather with 48k on it. would i pay 9k? no. but its still a nice car.
what would be hard to believe is if it was something like an 87 na w/ 180k+
no you do not hold the turbine or compressor wheel during startup. i dont know why people do this, i think its a bad idea.
you are supposed to prime the turbo tho. usually you add oil in the turbo at the feed line to get some in there. then while you have the oil feed line off, crank the...
it was 2nr on spike. its an extra $20 fee for me being badass at finding supra videos lol.

you guys better help him. i charge $100/hr to work on 1jz's
but seriously, dont confuse tuning the cam gears w/ degreeing them.
i think since they arent degreed to 0 it is causing some overlap and the lower compression.
also, i agree there arent huge peak number gains tuning cams. but...
yeah id def pay the extra for the kics. proven quality. and something like this i wouldnt want to trust something from ebay. ive seen after effects of snapped wheel studs.
