is that small PUDDLE!?!?!?!
my vote is oil galley plug then... cause 'somebody' left one out of my motor, and you couldnt believe how much oil can escape from that pen size hole. granted yours is just leaking, but thats a lot of oil.
make sure you have one thats turned on automatically after a set temp, because you are human, and sometimes people forget to flip the switch.
stock is a better choice in the long run, and its a lot quieter... but if you feel the need to spend the extra money then go for it, but you were warned...
driftmotion sells a 57trim, kinda an 'upgrade'
sounder performance makes journal and DBB bolt on upgrade turbos
just depends on how much power you wanna make and how much money ya wanna spend.
set the crank at TDB (top dead center) for the #1 piston, you have to be sure its at top dead center, and it should be lined up with ZERO on the timing marks.
then position the cams straight up with the notches(on the cam gears) matching the notches on the plate, i think i had my exhaust one...
I like having fun, but i was trying to help out everybody, and you come in and start that stupid shit which just trashes a good thread. i found a website for all of our fabrication needs, just have to register.
http://www.metalmeet.com
and like i said, this site has enough problems, it...
this thread could be closed. too many people take it like a joke, so theres no need to have another section or a sticky for people just to laugh at and make lame ass comments.
i guess everybody gets to post there fab stuff in the gallery section... enjoy.
i like looking at DIY stuff because it gives me ideas on how to do it, i normally dont follow things to the 'T' just because i normally find easier, cheaper, more effective ways to do stuff.
if you were to post up a step by step, it would shed light on the whole process. if somebody is...
for right now, i would say post them up in the build thread/gallery section, because thats what it technically is. but if you could post a thread or two about whatever it is you made, that would be awesome! it might pursuade others to do the same!!!! and i need all the help i can get! hahaha
not exactly a powerhouse, but i guess thats good? and i'll never see one, i live in america.
and what does that engine sound like? sounds like a freakin diesel! torque torque torque! with super high MPG... is it turbo or no?
Maybe a thread for links isnt a bad idea... or maybe a thread for all of the sites for supras, i know there are TONS of members who have little one off sites for there cars, and they ususally have a good bit of info.
Im just exploring ideas here to be honest... maybe we could get a thread...
Let me know when you find a school that focuses on high performace/ state of the art technology for engines. cause i will be there next to you learning!
i've tried searching, but its hard... most shops want you to work full time for them, so if your going to school + full time = PITA...
ford in america = POWERRRRRR!!!!!
ford in europe = Economyyyyy!!!!!
if they were smart, they would bring all of those diesel vehicles over to the U.S.... even if diesel is more expensive, the MPG pays off in the end....
i meant how the referance section is... theres a few by just ONE person where the ONLY person to add info was the original opener...
i just think a lot of people have done stuff, and recorded it, and just not posted up... or maybe im just thinking that MK3 owners make a lot more parts than...
it would defintaley just be a 'starter kit' you could say... but thats fine, some people dont wanna go over 250, and for those people who do then they could swap in some huge injections and fuel control and all of that good stuff.
what does it take to swap in the turbo injectors? seems like...
it would be place to display, not really discuss... like how the referance/tech section is.
and i dont think anybody has an entire build thread just on fabrication....
im just trying to get the idea out, something new, something that interest people, it seems like posting is down...
