improper installation? lol if i was going to change all of them i would go with aftermarket ones that were stronger, and a little longer so i had some more thread engagement.

for me to race an mk3 would require too much money to make it 'track worthy' in my mind... i could spend a lot less, swap the 7m into a datsun 240z, and it would be a lot faster. but some people just love the mk3.... and couldnt you run an inline electric water pump with the stock one to aid...

shifts the power band lower. depending on your driving style it may benefit you, or it may not...

FWIW... 'standing' on the ratchet isnt going to break it free. if you had given it a good STRONG kick, it should have come off, but invest in some god damn air tools. took mine off in 3 seconds.

if you have small cracks its fine, dont stress it. Make sure the turbo doesnt have any in and out shaft play. and to get an 'oem rebuild' for a turbo is about $300... just had mine done, nicely done, 100% clean, no shaft play, all for 275... just something to consider.

or you wire it so its based off of ignition so the fans wont run unless the car is in the on position.... to wire a relay like that is super simple, its just like the 12v mod for the fuel pump. lol my e-fans did GREAT during daily driving, but my fan couldnt cool my NON TURBO fast enough...

i would be worried how much amps the twin fans will draw from the alternator... should go look at the mr2 alternator swap, that way you wont be running off your battery with the fans on.

i have the stock clutch fan, AND a 12'' e-fan in front of the radiator, only reason is because i had it laying around so i figured why not. but im not going to rely on a single e-fan to cool this monster.
