a boost controller has nothing to do with accordian pipe... the boost controller goes between the line from the compressor housing (front of the turbo) and the line on the wastegate. and the only vacuum hoses on the stock intake are for PCV, BOV, and the power steering... did you use a vacuum...

i understand now. i had this happen to me a few times on my 86.5 after i installed an oil cooler (with no thermostat) it takes too long for the oil pressure to build up and you hear it like its rod knock. i just scrapped my oil cooler... haha your oil pump may be bad too... and this only...

on a turbo car you should have MORE power on the top end with a 3'' exhaust.. if you 'lose' power you need to check over your car and make sure everything is operationg properly... 3'' exhaust = less backpress = easier on the turbo to boost

isnt backfiring after a full throttle pull due to the TPS not being adjusted right? or venting the BOV will do it to i was told...
