i assume you want to test flow, not if it works or not?
if you want to test flow:
pull the fuel supply line (i have no idea your fuel setup, so dont know how easy this is to do on your car)
put the supply line in a bucket with quart markings (be sure it is secure)
jumper +B and Fp in...
so you manually shift it and its fine, but if you put it in drive it feels like its down on power? check codes and see what you find. does your speedo work?

yes, the ect selects between normal and sport. i've never used normal. make sure the trans fluid is at the correct level and the line pressure cable is properly adjusted. also check for transmission codes. altho not all codes will show.
you need to be more specific of what not shifting...
are you sure you are buying the correct heat range plugs?
and if the pressure is dropping off like that when you turn off the car, that sounds more like the check valve in the fuel pump instead of the fpr. you may have one of the knock off walbros if you bought it off ebay.

check the coils like ij suggested first. also make sure the plug wires are in the seperators.

i still say a shock is a seperate component, and a strut is a shock with a coil spring around it. my truck has shocks with leaf springs, my supra and vette have struts. i looked up in the epc and it calls it a shock absorber. but they also call plug wires high tension cords.
no, its a stepper motor. be sure it is put together correctly and that it functions. while you have it apart you would probably be just as well to replace the parts. i dont remember them being very expensive.

that was taken from my wheel database i've collected over the years. i havent weighed them myself, but that seems reasonable given the size and design. i'm sure there are some slight variations, but gives a ballpark idea anyway.
people spray carb cleaner in them in an attempt to clean.
you can do a resistance test, but i've seen them pass the test and still be bad.
