I just installed my 67mm Billet turbo with a HKS style 50mm wastegate. I also am using a Greddy Profec B electronic boost controller. The wastegate has two ports on it, one on the top and one on the side. How do i run the vacuum lines for this setup? Right now i have the line going from the turbo to the IN side of the boost controller solinoid, then the OUT side of the solinoid is going to the side port on the wastegate. Running on just the wastegate spring its been hitting like 20psi so i know i have it set up wrong cause its like a 10 pound spring or somthing like that. Any ideas? Thanks

I come from a land down under
Boost source> T Piece > one side of the T > Side port on the WG

Other side of the T > NC on the Controller Solenoid Valve

Com side of Solenoid> Top port on the WG

NO on the Solenoid > Atmosphere

thanks IJ, however still slightly confused. What does NC, Com, and NO refer to with the solenoid? Theres only an IN and an OUT on the solenoid

NC = normally closed
NO = normally open
Com = common

As the solenoid think of this, Air goes "IN" then has to come back "OUT" to the new level you set.

This Pic might help. It is the best I can find right now. Sorry I havent played much with the HkS WG

No prob.

As for the No, NC, and com. it refers to where the "valve" is in its normal position / no power going to it.

Open or closed depends on what port and common is what it is connected to in the valve ( kind of like the source). Almost like a light switch, light off = closed, not connected. Light on = open, connected.

.......Com.
......../
..open....closed

The "/" can flip flop to open or closed ( / or \ ). Sorry it is the best I can describe on the internet with out showing you first hand.

GReddy keeps all the manuals for their products in the tech support section of their website. No need to ask people when the manual is right there...

IDK which version he has, but yes, those are the ones I'm referring to.

sf - I like to have 1st hand information, so I always look for the manual to a product before posting a question about how to use it. If that fails, try contacting the company, and only if that fails THEN ask the general population. I guess you like this approach though...

Na its all good. I didn't have much to do today, so it was nothing to help out. This way I did my good deed of the day :rofl:
