I really want an MKI. I one for the first time on the street. It was pulling out of the local Asian market and it was tan and sooo soo clean. I couldn't even believe it. It had the rear window shade thing. I snapped a quick picture with my cell phone even. I really want to get one of these...
This engine was recently rebuilt and has not been driven yet because of this issue. I did clean out all of the intake manifold and I cleaned out the ISC and the ISC pipes.
I set timing to 20-15 fluctuating with Te1 and E1 jumped. This raised my idle from 500 to 750. I checked the Cam Gears...
With the ISC valve plugged in the car will startup but immediately die, it will not idle. If I unplug the ISC it will idle around 650 but after 10 seconds it will go down to 500 and will try to stall but it will still run for a min or two before stalling completely.
I have changed the valve...
Pretty sure stock springs at 35lbs. I've heard that the CompCam BBC are 55-60. They are definitely a lot stiffer than stock. Stock can be compressed easily by hand. The BBC springs will not compress much at all just using your fingers.
16inch rim probably wont be too wide but as long as they are 5x144.3, 7" wide at least, have an offset at 37 or lower, and they are really really cheap than do it.
But personally, I like the stock wheels. I think they look good.
How far in can you go without hitting the shock? Are you guys pretty close to hitting it? I know the MKIV is 9.5 +50 and that doesn't rub the shock on 275s. Does anyone have a wheel that sticks in farther than that?
Its good to 450hp maybe 500. It has a wastegate actuator and comes with an adapter to use on the stock manifold. Your money would be better spent elsewhere unless you get a hookup.
The first fire in Malibu was due to electrical lines. The fire in Irvine was due to arson and maybe half of the 9 fires in san diego were due to arsons supposedly.
Its great to see that these cars are still around. I would love to get my hands on one. I hope that whoever gets them will take great care to restore them.

Use the search, this has been covered many times. Call up Driftmotion and talk to them. No one is going to say anything that hasn't been said 10 times before.
I am just finishing up with my rebuild. When I try to start my car it will rev to 600 and immediately die. If I give it gas at it will start up and idle very roughly. The TSRM states that this is an ISC Problem. I have Code24 which is the air intake temperature sensor. Although I have...
