Heres my bros dyno. red line is the stock afm, blue line is no change other than swapping out the lex afm. nothing else. mods are intake, exhaust (catback only stock cat), lower hardpipe, blitz DD and this oddball turbo ;) (its a t3 hybrid with a garrett center section) AND THATS IT! so look...
yea thats my bros car. the red line is stock afm and the blue line is just replacing it with a lex. his mods are catback, intake, lower ic pipe and a random bolton turbo ;) this dyno if for all you people who think you can run the lex w/o the 550s and be safe...look at the blue line...
SAME FREAKIN PROBLEM HERE!!!! everything works fine when the lights are off but turn on the running lights and i lose dash illumination and climate control. this did it before and randomly came back on when i popped off the section of the dash that has the dimmer, foglight switch and rear...
my bros car has the same problem and hes on the stock clutch fan. BHG job done not too long ago and burped it. it might still be a pesky air pocket and it has a new rad cap.... keep me posted guys
i dont think the screw is long enough really to block it off. mine hasnt been touched and its 2/3 across it, i highly doubt 1/3 is leaning things out to produce the numbers my bros car did with the 440s.
short answer: yes
long answer: it will lean you the hell out. my bro recently tested this theory on a dyno and i was interesting to say the least. he went from below 10:1 with the stock afm (high point was around 12:1 when boost started) with the lex he STARTED at around 16:1 (higher actually)...
i know that you were being sarcastic but im looking at symptoms that hes describing and they sound similiar to the standard bhg. the only thing we dont have is if hes losing coolant.
also with the block tester it may not show up if its not blown between the cycl and the water jackets. a...
agreed with fiend. i ran intake full exhaust and the ct26 @ 18psi and it was starting to slip after i switched over to the 61gt it was a lost cause. if you slip the clutch alot its going to go quick but if you are easy on it (like for an engine break-in) it should last for a bit.
looks like a bhg, sounds like a bhg and acts like one. make sure you lap the block and get the head nice and clean (and flat). as for the parts you are looking for check the F/S section.. Vpc is going to be harder to find but can be done. I strongly suggest holding off till you find out whats...
When you need to get AN fittings what do you call around asking for? So far I've tried to relate it to brakes, a/c system, PS lines..... and no one knows what it is! {sigh}
man you are lazy.... ok the TSRM is the Toyota Service and Repair Manual. please search some.
ps: it was 2hrs 29 mins but i rounded up to give you the benefit of the doubt. your first bump was a shade over an hour. :)
ok chief it usually is one bump every 24 hrs.... not 3.... second im doubting you have checked your ISC and tps yet. to see how to test them check the TSRM. its online and easy to read. IC is not really considered vaccum to me as its part of the intake system. check the TSRM for a full...
i run the hks ssqv and love it but the hks racing might be up your alley for the higher boost. mk4s use it alot and have heard nothing bad about them. i think they are quieter than the ssqv but maybe i just cant remember correctly {shrug}
