im not sure if you will have creep issues but there is no reason why you cant port the hole out some more and this will help if you do have boost creep.
i was going to say the other way around actually..... Spec is known to send out stock PP iirc from tests that Dr. Jonz did. The pp will hold the disk will start to slip on you when you boost it up.
cats? what cats? :) i have a kitty cat named Boost but pretty sure she wasnt the cause of this. but yea weirdest freaking thing ever. as for the smell {shrug} i dot go boiling ATF fluid too much so i didnt recognize it just smelled like oil to me
Well im about ready to swap my sp61gt back on but i figured id post up a rather unique issue that you might all like the hear about.
Friday - drive back to dallas and meet up with Supraguy88t (Christian) to buy his 1990 NA for my roomie. Drive up to Allen where my car is and start swapping...
agreed. its condensation. on a cold enough day all cars driving around have a little trail of white. valve seals could cause it to. they might not be out but just as they contract (cool) over night they let some oil down into cycls, not much just a bit. it then goes away as the seals expand...
will it work? yes
will it lag? w/ a 1.15 or 1.00 its not going to wake up until later in the power band and if you are on the stock redline then there might only be a few hundred rpms to work with. if its a t3/t4 footprint you should be able to get a smaller exhaust housing from somewhere
happened on my dads maxima and my buddy's SHO.... on the SHO when we started it up one musta been chewing on the line and started smoking (had the hood popped trying to find out what was happening) fun times back in PA
all those ebay ones you listed are the same basic item. all are H4 conversion housings with plastic front lens, and that gay little blue light in the bottom (city light... wtf is that?) If you are going to swap do it right especially when it comes to vital things (lighting brakes etc) look...
wow this thread when really off topic. sorry to the thread creator. thanks guys for the info and to everyone who caught that it wasnt a dyno of a stock ct26 :) once he gets a DP and test pipe (cough boost controller) well return and let people guess again at the turbo
this was only a test and to prove to people that just swapping the lex in is not a good idea. heres some concrete proof for all the people that say you can.
