Done it before on 3 different eclipses. just unhook the wastegate arm and call it a day.
And tell him to bead roll the end, tig weld a bead on the end, or get t-bolts.
and the car runs fine, just slow as shit compared to boosted.
my motors revs like it has a lightened flywheel, rev matches like a honda, and when your shifting in "racing" type situations it seems to fall right in the right rpm to match the next gear.
and BTW, i have eagle rods and probe pistons... i vote 100% necessary.
this is also on a stock...
10psi per rpm... if your sitting at 3000RPM on the highway, 30psi is fine...
side note: your cold pressure on a stock oil system shouldnt go above
the supra system is High Volume - Low Pressure 40psi anyways because of the pressure relief in the oil cooler housing right off the block.
some...
Why not turn the fitting up instead of down? the housing gets bigger as it gets closer to the flange... and the coolant system is pressurized, so i wouldnt matter which way the coolant line is turned...
just an idea for the future...
on the coldest day i started my car in the winter(shimmed 5mm, redline 5w30, cant remember if i was on dual filter relocated yet...) i hit over 100psi... but it was sub 30 degrees... on stock gauge.
and i wouldnt measure the pressure at the filter... thats RIGHT after the pump, so of course...
suprarich sells a set made by cometic for less than $20 if i remember... but you have to be SUPER careful when installing since you can press them down to far and it'll rip the seal right out.
IJ... I honestly thought it would have saved hell of a lot more than $7.... but i guess when you get 100+ of something made it drives the price wayyyy down compared to what i could make one for...
and knowning that 90% of mk3 owners are cheap... i figured a cheaper arm would actually...
The problem is hes in CA... and swapping a turbo motor into an n/a is technically illegal... sure you can get it BAR... but in the long run its just to buy a turbo shell/car.
i've seen quite a few VERY clean supras come up on craigslist in the past 6 months...
do you not have the money anymore to buy one?
i'd consider selling my 90/turbo/targa/5-speed... as i need a more "economical" car for college...
some decent supras...
my crossdrilled are doing fine... made by powerstop, they buy brembo and drill them... only in areas that dont touch the center vein.
i have porterfield r4s pads also, i love them, heres a link to a dealer here in CA who has a price you wouldnt believe...
If you use assembly lube you probably wont get it all the first oil change... so after about 50 miles you should get all of the "other stuff" thats inside the engine...
i switched to synthetic after using castrol HD30 for about 600-800miles... (3 oil changes in this time period though)
and...
is there really only 714 left? i know they only made 3000... but shit...
thats basically an awd eclipse with 4doors, which i love, their good engines as long as you take care of them and know what your doing.
personally i think you should sell me the vr4. but from that mod list doesnt...
Are you sure your intake valve wasnt cracked open a little? you may wanna go back and redo cylinder 1... wouldnt hurt.
And if your plugs are covered in "fuzz" (burnt oil) then its your stem seals, but if your plugs are fine i would say your turbo needs a rebuild.
from the sounds of it its...
there not direct fit. especially when its a flant tank on top and bottom...
you need to shave the lower rubber isolators, and you also need to beat in the radiator lip... plus you need to make new upper mounts.
it takes about 1-2hours to install one if you have a large amount of random...
clean the threads yes.
15lbs? you obvisouly didnt read the directions FROM arp did you?
HAND TIGHT.
just read the directions... they make them for a reason...
retorque on a fel pro hg? first i've heard of that one... AND oem head bolts?...
did you have him replace your water pump and thermostat when he did the first head gasket job? cause it sounds like your thermostat got stuck closed if it happened that fast at highway speeds...
nobody else...
