Yeah I was just curious as I have done it, just making sure something was not broken and I was able to do it because of that reason.
I always use dual jack stands, and shake the car very well to make sure they're secure. I would hate for anyone to ever have to be under a car that fell on...
Jdub quick question. You can't just take off the center support bearing and the drive shaft drop bar? it has to come off completely?
I am just curious because I took mine 1/2 off that way, I didn't want to unbolt it from the differential. I just did it on my '88 M/T.
The one I have in my hand is turned all the way in, I could run out to my car and check really quick though, it doesn't look like anyone ever opened the hood on that car besides oil changes.
Alright, well the decision has been made. I am swapping in a 2jz-gte into the '91. Tonight I am going to be pulling the 7m-gte that runs perfect, sucks taking out a perfectly running motor..
I will be taking a video tonight to prove the motor runs flawlessly, so when I sell it, people can see...
Yeah, you know I am not a huge fan of tearing apart wonderful cars. Lucky me this Supra I own I will not being " parting out " I checked it for rust and accidents on the car, and those are the only reason I part these out.
I really want to try something hard like a 2jz swap. I don't want a...
At times I regret parting it out. Remember this though when i parted out that car I found people that needed original teal Parts. So it was not a total waste.
I Tomorrow morning I am pulling my 7m-gte I need a camcorder to record the motor runs so people will believe it, if not I will just...
Lets see a lot of Supra's have been parted out. My '88, '89, ,'91 ,'92, You would be amazed at the money you can get for parts.
Anyhow, I will be getting rid of the motor soon, I am going to take some video's of it running perfect, I would like to sell it as a whole. head agsket was replaced...
The problem has no really continued now. I don't really go WOT much anymore anyhow. It's not like I do it all the time, I was just concerned for when I do it.
I already decided to go with a 2jz-gte swap and i just bought a r154, and I have the drive shaft, rear end, master cylinder, and so on...
This white plug how many wires are on it? Also what colors are these plugs. The turbo model is different but I would like to see the plug you're looking at,
Yes the connectors are different from the years , some round some more square. You can make it work though by depinning them like poodles said and make your own connectors.
I have a complete harness off my '89 full hanress for the bay Pm me if you want it, Ill sell it cheap..
To start off with, are the plugs you're talking about on the wiring harness from the motor, or the ones that they connect to?
Is your yellow connector is it quite small compared to the other ones around it? How many wires are coming from it, and what colors are there?
Also the Gray connector...
Looks like the power steering pump may be leaking just enough there. I would say debris and dirt that got on the lower case and made I build up.
You also have to remember when there is a leak and your going 110Km's oil or any fluid will travel. So if you have a leak in the front, you may be...
I have had two white package Supra's. a '90 and '91.
Interior on both of mine were Blue Cloth, and blue leather. Both were targa, trim was white, rims were white, and that is it. It was more money from the factory.
I would go with the 7M-GTE. Doing the 1UZ will cost more to put in, and I think you would like to get this car on the road/road race track fast. If the 7M is built correctly they run a very long time. Like every engine, it all depends in how to treat it and what rigorous condition you put it...
It's not from a 7M motor harness for sure. The ID's already do not match up. Also the plugs are not even close to match the ECU,and I can sort of see the wires and they don't look like anything that would fit a 7M.
