I was wonder if it would be possible to maybe add a transistor to the stock boost electronic sensor wiring after the sensor so it would read lower hence being able to read more then 8 psi? Does that make sense?
Has anybody else tried this or had this thought?
If so any idea on how to do this?
N/A's didn't come with TEM's so it has to be a turbo cluster with a voltage gauge. Guessing whoever had it put in a after market boost gauge and put in a voltage gauge in place of the stock boost gauge...not a bad idea really. Sucks for you if you wanted a stock boost gauge.
Your HP and Torque don't intersect like they are suppose to at 5200 or whatever it is, deff something wrong there.
Keep us posted I will be interested in seeing what happens.
I'm running stock exhaust as well...just removed the first 2 cats. I might be up close to a bar, I know I'm really close to fuel cut off.
Wish they would have run the wideband I'm not sure why they did not, I'm sure they have one.
I really find it hard to believe it’s off that much if...
Basically stock 89 Turbo. not sure how much boost I'm running I hope to know soon but here is my dyno run and dyno sheet.
*Sorry for crappy image don't have a scanner handy*
Only thing done to this car has been replacement of the HG, rods and main bearings and all seals. I removed the...
sorry I can accross something I haven't seen before and wanted to share it with you lozers...didn't know I had to spend 3 hours searching back to the beginning to make sure its not a repost.
The only way a valve seal would make any kind of a noise would be from it breaking off and being crushed in the valve spring. I suppose your valve seal just went and that is where all the oil is coming from but I really doubt that it made any noise at all and I have never heard or seen one just...
I think I got mine for less then 40 bucks cheap in my book.
they are a real pain in the butt to change...I basically had to stand on my head...good luck
I went from 10w-30 Mobil 1 5000 to 10w-30 Mobil Synthetic and my turbo started leaking more oil. All seals are replaced so didn't leak anywhere else, I was kind of suprised...I didn't think it would affect the turbo this way since they don't have rubber seals.
