Modding stock boost sensor idea.

I was wonder if it would be possible to maybe add a transistor to the stock boost electronic sensor wiring after the sensor so it would read lower hence being able to read more then 8 psi? Does that make sense?

Has anybody else tried this or had this thought?

If so any idea on how to do this?

Its not difficult, I actually use this guide to turn my boost gauge into a wideband gauge, just to let me know if I'm in the OK or not.. not for perfect accuratcy or not. It works great since i know how to "read" it, I still need to make a custom gauge face for it tho.
