Well, do you think it sounds like valve-tick?
Would be strange if both heads produces the same kind of sound. Wouldn't valve-tick be consistent throughout the RPM range?
So, I've had a ticking noise for the last 10 months or so. Very VERY annoying and I can't seem to get rid of it.
I have a parallel thread on mkiiisupra.net, but I am getting really desperate for a solution.
Summary:
The tick came after 3-5 months.
1. Engine started to tick, sounds like...
How are they connected?
R154-speed-gear to outer-cable to dash-cable to speedometer to ECU?
Reason I am wondering is because my speedometer cable is broken somewhere, but I do not know which part I need. All I know is that my turbo timer does not get speed input from ECU and that speedometer...
I find that the Supra ABS is only sufficient in straight lines and light turns. Any hard turn and you are at disadvantage; you'd be better off pulling the handbrake and try to get your tail out and spin back on track again. :P
I think I got confused by 10° BTDC in this, thinking it was the markings on the pulley;

EDIT:
Nevermind, I am dumbshit. :P 1JZ Soarer of course does not have hydro-fan, only 1JZ Supra amirite? :P
Anyways, if you could tell me where the stock gauge temperature sender is it would be much appreciated. :)
Maybe I am just stupid or don't understand, but isn't it suppose to be on 0 degrees?

Looking for the stock location of the 1JZ water temperature wiring, the one that supposedly connects to the temperature sender inside the stock radiator. Mine has been cut off I think.
I am thinking of using the wiring for aftermarket temperature sender as I am using hydro-fan.

I lost my screwdriver over the bellhouse/transmission when I tried to poke out my stuck wrench from the EGR cooler after I tightend it. :icon_surp
Whenever I drive I can smell melted plastic. :icon_surp
I am having similar problem with my turbo tachometer. I guess this applies for it aswell?
My tacho shows idle at 500 RPM but when I rev it shows 1200 RPM while it sounds like its hitting rev limit. :P This is 1JZ soarer to MA70 89.
I have now wired everything related to ignition and fuel. I have just started on the gauges and wired them accordingly but I get none of them to work at properly. The only thing that I can get to work partially is the tachometer, it shows 500 RPM on idle but when I press the pedal and rev to...
