1jz vacuum pressure at idle

whats the proper idling pressure for a stock 1jz? it seems like mine is idling just a little low and vaccum is only at 12-13 at idle but 19-20 at decceleration. runs fine tho

Check for boost leaks/vac leaks.

Build a boost leak tester

my motor sits around -21 at idle and around -23 on decel..

Depends on your elevation too. My numbers are a lot like yours, huntingcorn, and I'm around 6500' up in the mountains...

oh haha im in ohio...and its not very high up but i actually made a leak tester a while ago, ill hook it up, i didnt think that was right, thanks everyone

but ordered a 45 degree coupler so thatll be fixed and ill check for more then

Heh, I remember blowing a coupler a couple times... Second time it happened i didn't even realize it, was still able to make 5psi, but it sure as hell didn't feel (or SOUND) quite right!

yeah, the the two times I blew a coupler were comical..

one time it happened at night, and I didn't realize what was going on until I saw a flash in the rear view mirror, and all the cars behind me dropping back suddenly :naughty:
