    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

...and a short vid of startup and idling :): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zz-eBWuQnUI As you can see the wideband isn't hooked up yet, and I'm dealing with a slight misfire at idle. Otherwise it's running good!

    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

Finally, some updates for you guys. It's been running pretty well for the past couple of months, and I've been driving it more regularly (still not daily though). I bought a universal Lokar throttle cable from summit racing and modified it to fit. I had to cut the firewall bracket off of the...

What type of title does your Supra have?

Clean title, and no accidents (both from carfax and what I can tell).

    IS300 (2JZ-GE) Cold Start Rattle/Knock

Here is a video of the sound. Every now and then it starts fine, but the sound is still a little worrisome. Notice the direct correlation to the oil light. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hwsdqtv1KXo

    Compound 7M, first and only?

Aww, that's too bad. I was hoping for some videos ;). What happened? Did you destroy a piston?

My stealth charcoal canister install *PICS*

I may have found a source for (relatively) cheaper check valves. I just ordered one of the following: http://cgi.ebay.com/35-NEW-DELTROL-1-8-BRASS-IN-LINE-CHECK-VALVES-CMM10B1-/360276383657?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Pneumatic_Hydraulic_Valves_Parts&hash=item53e22557a9 Seems close but has 2.5psi cracking...

My stealth charcoal canister install *PICS*

That's exactly my point though, even with the charcoal canister you are still dumping gasoline vapor into the air. The stock CC is purged through the ported vacuum off of the throttle body. I have a FFIM without a ported vacuum source, so I need the check valve to maintain ~2psi pressure in the...

My stealth charcoal canister install *PICS*

How much was the check valve? That is exactly what I've been looking for! I may have a misunderstanding of how a charcoal canister works, but doesn't it defeat the purpose to vent it to atmosphere? If you're not routing it back to the intake (through the BVSV), couldn't you just vent the line...

    IS300 (2JZ-GE) Cold Start Rattle/Knock

It sounds like it's bottom end to me, but I'll see if I can track it down to the head. This car has been dealer maintained since new, and brought in for every scheduled maintenance (verified by both carfax and lexus histories) so I'm sure it's been taken car of mechanically. I also have over...

    IS300 (2JZ-GE) Cold Start Rattle/Knock

Hey guys, In case any of you didn't know I purchased a certified used IS300 to replace my Prelude as the daily driver. I'm loving the car so far except for a sound that has me a little worried. When cold started (sat for at least a few hours) I get a slight rattle/knocking for about a second...

    OHIO thread

I've stopped by that cruise-in several times just to take a look at the cars. I've seen lots of nice cars there like some Z06's, a viper, and of course lots of old school muscle cars. Unfortunately I sometimes get the impression that a lot of the guys there aren't very accepting of "other" cars...

    Dyno off a smarthphone

I have dynolicious for my iPhone. While it is a fun app, I wouldn't go around telling everyone you have xxx HP based off of it. For me it's fun to play with and it's handy to track what certain mods do to the car without having to dyno after each one. I wouldn't say it's accurate compared to a...

What to wire gauges to for light?

If you don't care about dimming (I have my dimmer on high all of the time anyway) and you have an aftermarket radio with a harness, you can tap into the "illumination" wire on the harness. This way you don't have to cut into the stock wiring.

Wow Seth, how have I not seen this thread until now! Definitely subscribing, and looking forward to a vid of this setup :)

    92 7mgte dipstick the Best

Mine is the top style, and I have a 92. The engine was never replaced that I know of so I'm a bit confused why I have that style. Either way, I'll have to keep a look out for the other type. I never knew those existed :)

    Fuse Box Relocation

Like shaeff pointed out it's a Taylor box. I did buy it from summit racing though.

    Fuse Box Relocation

If you position it right, the targa will fit. I didn't want to lose my spare tire either:

    92 7mgte dipstick the Best

I have a 92 and I don't think my dipstick looks like that. I just know mine is hard to read and I have to dab it on a rag just to see the level. Anyone have a picture of the old style dipstick?

    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

Seth modified the shaft so the stock TPS will fit over it, but honestly it was/is a PAIN to get it on there and adjusted correctly. I'm sure I could come up with a better mounting solution, but it's on there and working for now. I'm still trying to get some updates for you guys, hang in there!

    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

It's an Xo2 throttle body sold by Supra Sport. These are the throttle bodies that Seth includes w/ his manifold (though you can have him flange it for another if you like). Sorry guys, I know I seem to have disappeared from this thread for a while. I actually got busy with the process of...
