FCD cuts fuel cut by clamping down on the AFM frequency. It does nothing to extend the map and therefore boosting beyond FCO becomes very dangerous.
The stock AFM in my experience does not like being pushed past 16psi. Getting the car to accept the Lexus AFM with 550's is quite simple, it's...
The ones in my car are 5k mcd and are too bright IMO. I've gotten used to them over the years but at first they were distracting in direct sunlight with the targa out. Course they weren't ebay specials, a decent quality brand who's name I've forgotten.
Remove the FCD before you boost the car even once. All you'll need at this point for some decent power is an intercooler and some sort of AFM upgrade (Lexus, MAFT, MAP, VPC, etc).
TEMS was nice...back in 1987. These days there are much better suspension setups available. Tein EDFC with a set of their compatible coilovers is like an updated version of TEMS on steroids, of course it will run you around $1200+.
There are also plenty of good regular spring/strut combos...
When I accidently broke off my ECU's water temp sensor I could barely keep the car running. In combination with some other slight problem it could definitely keep the car from running at all. Fix the water temp sensor as soon as possible and it should make the other problem more apparent.
I...
Higher or lower combustion temps from EGR removal are negligible if any. Basically all the EGR does is reroute combustion gasses from the #6 cylinder only back into the intake plenum basically to just #5 and #6 cylinders. It's hot exhaust gasses, back into the intake. The effects of removing...
Code 22 does more then you think. The ECU really likes to know coolant temp, and will cause the car to run poorly without it.

As for the AFM, the TSRM can only help you test the temperature probe inside it. Check your wiring and the...
That's a nice shot.
I've taken quite a few hundred pictures, but here's a few of my favorites at your requested size:

The Pacesetter header was nice once modified to fit me, course it costs more to modify it then it did to purchase the header...but at the time there weren't any other options. I'd definitely do it again if I was deadset on staying N/A as the power definitely increased, especially in the top end.
The air box is just too big of a restriction. The extra heat from the lack of air box shielding engine bay heat is still more power then a closed airbox system. Ideally a much larger air box with an open element filter would be the best, but of course it would have to be custom built.
I've...
Pretty odd for the BPV to change sounds. The hollow whooshing sound is normal but the fact that it didn't used to sound like that is weird. Are you able to hold the same amount of boost as you used to? Does the power feel the same, same amount of lag? Take the BPV off and try to blow through...
BIC DDP, best downpipe hands down. The ceramic coating helps but I think the exhaust wrap does a better job. Some people think it's crazy loud but you get used to it very quick. Plus if you've ever been in a heavily modded V8 they're loud all the time, the BIC DDP is only loud when the...
Old engine bay shot. Works perfect and replaces that stupid plastic piece. You can actually use a straight piece of pipe if you play with the angle of the stock rubber pieces. Swapping them around may also work too.
The starter has two wires to function. One big one straight from the battery provides the juice, and one small one from the cockpit that provides relay power to tell it when to turn on. The big one attaches via eye bolt, the small one has a harness. There are some other wires in that area as...
You need to stop the engine from spinning. This can be very tricky and it depends totally on how your engine is suspended.
For the fan, you can either remove the water pump and fan as a whole unit. Or you could put two 12mm wrenchs on using one to counteract the loosening force of the other...
