    oil temp sending unit

Goes in between your oil filter and mount and is already pre-drilled for oil temp and oil pressure lines.

    Swap Help!

    1. 86.5-88 and 89-92 are the major revisions. There were other minor revisions but at least the ECU plug will be the same. For the best fit you'll want the same year, but 87 should work just fine as well. 3. If you use the same year harness everything should just plug in perfect. 4. Depends...

    Tough handle lock

The mechanism is pretty simple. I'd tackle it by taking the interior trim out and looking for the problem. It's not a very common problem. It's probably got some corrosion or other build up, have a can of lubricant handy and spray liberaly.

    A/C R-12 to R-134

A good conversion will blow almost as cold as R12. A bad conversion will have you rolling your windows down when you're in stop and go traffic.

    Stalling under accelleration

Pretty hard to narrow it down at this point. It's pretty uncommon to clog the injectors as the fuel filter usually catches all the debris. So underload, say 2000-3000 rpm the car accelerates fine and then falls on its face at 3k? Or anytime it gets load it dies? Any strange smells from the...

    Condensor Fans

Apply 12v to the fans and make sure they still work. Check the temperature switchs for corosion. I seem to recall that they don't come on immediately after the AC is kicked on, if they're temperature dependent you might not be hitting the correct temperature. Also check your radiator and make...

    VPC and SAFR or SAFC

GReddy e-Manage. Superior to both of your choices :) Any of the choices should work fine with the VPC provided you install it properly. The HKS S-AFR is clearly the underdog, it has the least features and cost, shouldn't be any reason for it not to work with the VPC though.

    bov

If you want to avoid the temporary rich condition then yes. Any MAP won't have that problem, and all you have to do is mount the MAFT post-BOV and you won't have the condition. The reason is that the air being vented by the BOV has not been metered yet so the ECU won't even see it.

    Stalling under accelleration

Check your engine error codes. Have you ever changed your fuel filter? When was the last time in miles that you changed your plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor?

Depends on your AFM. If you're running the stock KV style AFM then yes. If you're running a MAP, or MAFT tapped closer to the manifold then the BOV is then no.

    run a one piece driveshaft?

One piece aluminum on my 1992 and when I owned the 1986.5 it had a one piece aluminum as well, ran over 4 years on both. No problems with resonance, sounds, vibration, clearance, etc. Just make sure the shop balances it.

    HKS Tems controller Question

Personally I love my Tein setup, but if I was still on stock suspension $215 would seriously tempt me. Those HKS controllers usually sell in the $500 range.

Should i buy 89 turbo supra or save my money?

Too much money for a 89 with that many miles. That's definitely a premium package, but too expensive IMO. I've seen 92's in excellent shape go for less.

    need part advice

Never heard of Paradise Racing. Basically what ACT calls their street and what RPS calls their stage 2 are just stock clutch discs with upgraded pressure plates. The pressure plate is rated at a higher value so it clamps harder and it takes more torque to spin the cluth. There's no upgrade...

No recirc is never as loud as atmosphere. You add extra distance for the air to travel, that mutes the sound. Plus you can't get the different sound altering effects like the SSQV, RFL and I think A'PEXi have.

    J-Tube blockoff- Why?

You wouldn't even need to cap it. Just reroute the line and leave it there if you want. I've also seen someone saw the tube off so all that's left is the plate.

    e-manage Ultimate...Yay or nay?

I talked to someone at GReddy about this and they said the two were not compatible. Supposedly even though the interfaces look similar (USB), one is actually serial and the other USB. You're probably thinking of the GEM/E-01 combo which does work perfectly.

    starting problems...

The click is probably starter contacts. Very cheap to replace, just drop the starter and put the new ones in. After that you can start diagnosing your other problems.

    e-manage Ultimate...Yay or nay?

I've got the e-Manage blue and the Profec e-01, I've been running this setup for a long time and it's pretty nice. The biggest two drawbacks of this setup IMO is the lack of abilities to remove the AFM or reduce injector pulse width (it can only increase). There are no piggybacks on the market...

    e-manage Ultimate...Yay or nay?

http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/ultimate/features/index.html The new GEMU can remove the stock AFM, the question is how difficult will it be to set that map up. With the VPC/MAP ECU/MAFT you get the benefit of the conversion map already installed you just need to tweak it some. Still you...
