I read the whole thing, and never saw "where" the coolant is getting, that you eluded to in your title. So, I guess everyone is not going to understand the question. Obviously, if you have white smoke, you have coolant in your cylinders.

I just went out and looked at my 89 door, with door panel removed. It appears to me that you would have to remove the door panel to me. Maybe you could get to the screws with an offset screwdriver, but you will likely be removing the panel to retrieve the screws, as they would probably fall...
