Geeze guys it's not belt sander work, but it's definately not acceptable. It looks like whoever did it either had a bad insert, or crap jammed in the seat of the insert. ( very ametureish) On top of the the dark areas appear to be spots that didn't completely cleanup.

do not use that piston, the chip will create a hot spot and then you'll have even bigger problems to deal with.
btw, it looks like the piston was dropped.
sooo, I found a little bit of time to work on this, and I have two different designs. one is based off of the original. and the other is a entirely new design. With any luck I'll post them up later today or early tomarrow.

How about a spacer that will work with the stock housing or this housing. It would probably be cheaper than getting the next size larger stock. right now I can use 2" thick stock. if I move the outlet 3/8" I'd have to buy 2.5" thick stock, which is a lot more material to move and...
