The buttons do wear out, and there really isn't anything that can be done about it from my experience. I might try again soon though.
EDIT: Well, soon means now, since I was bored. Yep, it's possible to fix the buttons, but tedious as hell...
1UZ is mostly bolt in, but it's only a 4.0. The LS motor is far larger displacement, and parts are available and cheap to make a lot of power (something the 1UZ lacks)
So long as it's not a bottleneck in the piping, it will be fine. I partial to the spun metalcore cats from magnaflow (raptor racing makes a bolt in version)
No matter what, you're not really going to get it down to the weight of something like a 240SX because of it's design in general. Our suspension is far more robust, thus, heavier.
The point is, the system already has a relay. The fun part is if you know how the starter works, you'd know the real high current contacts are in the starter...and yes they wear out.

I'd link just the picture, but I doubt their forums would like that.
Yep. Thankfully fiberglass is quite easy to repair (well...if the person doing the repair knows what they're doing). Far easier to repair than say, polyurethane, though it's not nearly as durable.
