    1942 Ford Pickup

 The '68-'69's are my favorite. The front end just looks mean as hell. I had a '69 grille on mine. Definitely take some pics! I'd love to see that too! That tranny looks like it's seen better days. :(

Update: 7/12/09- White car stripped for paint

Time for a thread title change again. The white car's interior is almost completely stripped. I don't think I'll pull the wiring, my paint guy will just paint around it. It's all detached (behind-dash body harness) so it can be easily moved for paint. Next comes a good vacuum, then I'm...

If I ever get my hands on the bastard engineer...

I had the same issue on my black car. Once the head broke off, I was able to get the rest out with vice grips. I got lucky!

Trying to plan out my future suspension setup

The Pro-kit is progressive, which is what I had, and I hated it. (PRO in pro-kit means progressive;)) Ian, no you don't! LOL. PITA! And to add some more value, the Eibach Pro Kit's spring rates: Spring Rates (k value) Front: 343-628 lb/in (60-110 N/mm) Stock Front: 461 lb/in (80.8...

Trying to plan out my future suspension setup

Ian thinks he owns an M3, lifting wheels and all... And to add something productive, I had progressive springs on my Supra, and I hated every second of it.

That's excellent. I love how simple they are! Makes me miss my '71 Chevy C-10 Stepside!

I just realized that you have a Supra seat in there. I did the same to my '94! :)

What are the Pros and Cons of Windage Trays or Crank Scrapers

I'm sure it would be difficult to make an exact replica anyway, it's magnesium. In any case, there are a few guys out there who make something similar. I believe drjonez makes a larger capacity steel oil pan, which might have extra baffling. I understand exactly how you feel, though I...

What are the Pros and Cons of Windage Trays or Crank Scrapers

Sorry dude, I'm anti-replication of rare parts. What some of us spend thousands on for function or form, others are getting for pennies, and as such, making our hard to find parts worth a whole lot less.

I would weld them shut, then repaint.

    Boost and no go

While it doesn't prevent you from boosting, when Code 52 is registered in the ECU, timing is retarded (severe lack of power), and fuel mixture is enriched. That combination kills power, regardless of how much boost you're pushing.

Ugh, that absolutely sucks! That driver's going to shit bricks when he finds out how much it was worth!

    BIC Divorced Downpipe Q's

Alec- I think you'll be much happier w/ the MKIII. :) It's a lot more robust, and better built, too. With some handling mods (and maybe a pinch of weight reduction), you'll keep up with M3's in the twisties, and have more power to boot. My favorite gear is 3rd. My second favorite gear is 4th...

    BIC Divorced Downpipe Q's

    BIC Divorced Downpipe Q's

LOL, dude, you have no idea! That's the parking lot at my old job. Private property, and the neighbors were real cool. They didn't care! Sometimes they'd sit on the fence and watch! LOL. I wish I had video from when I used to do figure 8's around the two light posts in the outer parking lot...

    Knock Sensor Rewire Debate?

Ground only the ECU side. Grounding both sides creates ground loops. I always tell people to ground it to the large support bar behind the dashboard. I'm sure JetJock will come in here and school us. :) (at least I sure hope he does!)

    7M-GTE torque numbers.. 80 lb/ft or higher?

Lastly, in addition to what the previous two said, was there a rivet on the mating surface of the gasket, and if so, did you remove it?
