hey guys,

I bought this 89 supra 2 years ago and the previous owner had pretty much trashed the engine. (apparently he put all the money into the rims... lol) so now after fixing up the engine pretty much to stock, I'm starting to work out ideas for the body. My first order of business will be to decide about the spoiler/wing.

Some days I like the wing and some days I just want to rip it off and throw it in the trash. I haven't seen many spoiler look discussions on this forum but if you have a second take a look at the pics and tell me what you think I should do.

stay with the autozone spoiler

rip it off and leave it with the no wing look

go back to the stock spoiler look

or change it to another spoiler look... (fill in the blank)

Unfortunately I don't have the original 3 piece. I bought the car pretty much as it looks there. Except for new tires

It is angled COMPLETELY the wrong way. Does the opposite of what its supposed to and creates lift.

another quick question, what would be a good way to fill the holes that he drilled in the trunk to put on this monstrosity? I have heard of plugs and things like that. are those good ideas to use or is there an easy quick fix for them?

I say ditch it for the 89+. But regardless of what you do in the long run, go out and change the angle on that thing PRONTO! The previous owner had no idea what he was doing.

The pre-89 styles are one piece spoilers.

theres like 2 versions of the one piece (pre 89 wings), the other with a big square rear brake light in the middle.
