Well, I don't know that much about cars and I don't want to mess up anything. I put a lot of care into my car, but I'm not that knowledgeable of the mechanical side of things.

You have two options:
-Find a good shop that you trust
-Buy the tools you need and do it yourself

I for one will argue that YES you need a torque wrench to do the valve covers. I threw my Haynes manual on the shelf and haven't touched it again after reading in there to simple "tighten" the bolts instead of actually posting a torque. If you overtorque them, the seals will leak, at worst you'll break the ear off the valve cover...

We all started off clueless, and even if it's looks like a hard task, it's really not. Cars are assembled on assembly lines by people with limited skills. It's just steps.

Here's my old black car (R.I.P.) w/ the following mods: Turboswapped, BIC ddp w/ atmospheric dump, generic intake cone, Clutchmaster's Stage 3, Fidanza Lightweight flywheel, Eibachs, Koni Yellows. otherwise bone stock. (boost was set to 12psi)

That was a long time ago. :(

And here's my old car on the dyno with a dead CT26. (put down 289rwhp/ 295tq on that dead CT, too;)):
Oh yeah, and watch the dude on the far right back away as I get near redline. LOL. I always loved that!

Yeah yeah, the car was a 'bucket. Save it...

Edit: Just for clarification before anyone asks- the headlights/fogs were stock. It's simply the camera that's making them look blue/purple.

LOL, dude, you have no idea! That's the parking lot at my old job. Private property, and the neighbors were real cool. They didn't care!

Sometimes they'd sit on the fence and watch! LOL. I wish I had video from when I used to do figure 8's around the two light posts in the outer parking lot. Now THAT was fun! My M3 is NOT that fun. :( I gotta finish the new car ASAP. I miss being behind the wheel of a Supra. :(

Open noisey smelly exhaust under the car? No thanks.

anyone ever think of extending the dump pipe to the side of the car? right behind the RF wheel?
i'm thinking about doing this, right aside my 3" e-cutout pipe.
thoughts?

You're moving fast enough that it doesn't matter (and the velocity of the exhaust as well).

Extending it to the side of the car would make it worse and probably easily get you a ticket...

haha, i've thought about that.
i figure when it on the passenger side and if i get pulled over, i'm clear.
As far as seeing it while i drive, it'll be dark colored and tucked, so im gonna give it a shot :)
my exhaust is gonna be stock looking and quiet out of WG, so i should be slippin by the radar based on how i used to drive around with my noise maker a little while back..heh.
i just think it'll be badass and one off.:evil2:

I think I'm going to keep it the way it is for awhile as I am only a high school student with no job. Were you guys still able to enjoy your car as it was stock? Do you think you'd be able to enjoy my car with my mods?

I love my car, Shaeff was one of the main people who told me to get it over the M3 and I'm glad I did. I think I'm going to keep it stock until I get a job because I'm still happy with the power.

Kinda random but, what's your favorite gear in your turbo Supra? Mine's 2nd. The RPM's go up too fast in first.
