1942 Ford Pickup

Okay well to start off this is my uncle's truck. he bought this toy yesterday.it has some stuff on there i have never see..first off it has a flat head straight 6 which i think is pretty neat and then it has a banjo rear end.my uncles plans are to make it a rat rod which ill be helping him with over sometime.

ill try to get more pics right now it is just sitting in the garage..my uncle will take his time on this one like he always dose with all of his projects. but i wanna try to get that flathead to start.

The thing is- it's half restored, too! Most of the welding is done already. The entire pickup is rock solid! He's buying a house within a year, maybe he'll work on it then...

I want him to make a rat rod out of it, but he's restoring it to original condition. Ah well, can't win 'em all!

shaeff.. ill definitely take more pics of the truck once we start to get things on the go. and ill do a video of that flat head for you once we get it started if we even can.

So me and uncle have been talking about taking the whole front clip off the truck.. so we can work on this motor a lot easier. we also think we need to get a new tranny for the motor if we were too keep the flat head straight 6. so if you guys have any info to give me about a tranny that can mount up to that motor that would be great. ill have some more pics up when i end up taking off the front clip.

The front clip might be coming off tonight if i can get my uncle out there. he keeps bitching that it is too hot and he is only 39.. and a b**ch

update. nothing besides i took the hood off thats about it were going to to have to cut the front clip off cause the bolts are rusted on. how lame is that. also we have a motor for the truck now too. it is a 305 chevy out of like a late 80's early 90's Camaro...ill get some pics once i get a better camera which im getting for a graduation present...

Update! Nothing really my uncle is tight on money so he hasn't done much to the truck. but we plan on pulling the motor and tranny hopefully sooon!

UpDate!! Took the Drive shaft out!! got some pics of the truck and wat not!

Then we have some pics of the trans the shifter wouldn't go in to gear!

:drool: The '68-'69's are my favorite. The front end just looks mean as hell. I had a '69 grille on mine. Definitely take some pics! I'd love to see that too!

That tranny looks like it's seen better days.

yea if i had to get a old car or truck it would be a c10 like that but i want one 4x4 there soo bad ass!! but ill take some pics of that sooner or later! and yea that tranny is super small and super OLD!!
