i just got done with a ge rebuild, ran me about $4000
rebuilt head, new pistons, ground crank, decked block, all gaskets. also had arp rod bolts and head studs, and new clutch/pp
the spt's are awesome, i've got asx's on the protege and will soon put asx's on the impreza (as soon as the yokohama trz's wear down)
my g'f has yokohama avs es100s on her mr2. a little less than double the price of the kumhos for about the same performance (for the driving we do), and a buddy...
not worth it, i'd take the $3000 and buy a front clip from jarco, then your trans rebuild problem is taken care of. another $400 should get the ac and the ps leak fixed.

anyway: didnt it look something like this, only made from CF?
edmunds specs say that the usdm is 320 hp, i think the jdm is also 280. iirc the 1jz had 280, limited by something (law?), might have been the case with the jdm 2j
i'm with clueless, i had a set of HIDS and hella e-codes. Used them for a little while and the high/low controller stopped working. haven't gotten the issue taken care of so they're sitting on the workbench and my silverstars are back in. can't say i dont miss them though, i loved the things til...
