That's probably the worst launch I've seen in my life...and it's even worse that BOTH of them did it. Maybe it's because both motors have no torque? :sarcasm:
Still, no idea on mods from that vid though.
Nope, doing it wrong... http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=103
But yes, it's probably the TPS if it's original... (also, the test is easier with a old style multimeter or a high quality digital with a bar graph)
The stock cooler empties to the pan and robs your motor of oil. It's also required (you have oil pumping through a very hot turbo...and oil pressures are more important than coolant temperatures as the oil actually contacts the moving parts!)
I wouldn't ever do anything you're talking about simply because grip > drift ;) Not to mention the terrible steering angle and that the car is FAT and not built for it.
Regardless, a clutch will last significantly longer than the e-brake shoes (I'm not kidding, they're VERY VERY thin) and it's...
Nope, bump steer is from the angles in the front suspension. Usually on lowered cars where the tie rod ends aren't perpendicular to the wheel and will pull in when that wheel is bumped causing it to steer.
There was talk years ago about drilling the block and thrust bearings to force feed them oil, but that was also around the time that the RPS pressure plate was the only real option for a high HP car. We have more options these days.
E-brake isn't a wise choice considering the shoes are thin and expensive... Clutch pop with a healthy press of the loud pedal works wonders.
We're not an old AE86 with no power...
