smoke near turbo area and front cam gear area, smokes like crazy...worse than when i had a bhg. i know its not a bhg and not coolant. only smokes bad after i drive it like normal.
hey, i currently have this new problem with my car.
if it just start the car and warm it up it wont blow any white smoke out, but when its on a roll going over 20kph it starts to SMOKE BAD, it smells like somethings burning, checked coolent and checked oil they are fine.
recently did a mhg and...
hmm....all of a sudden my boost came up again...its at 7psi. i still think somethings leakings, i should be getting around 10psi? but at least i got back 7 psi rather than nothing.
hmm.. i jst tried this...blocked off the pcv off on the throttle body, used a kinda loud compressor and it showed psi around...1 to 5 thats what it looked like. cant even hear any leaking...what kind of air compressor do you guys use?
Thanks for the reply's, i do have my own boost leak tester, but its just i heard you have to block off the throttle body section.
ill do the test again, but all my hoses are hardpipes. i only checked with a light and not a boost tester
recently i just changed my Turbo elbow, to a full 3" one and the only things i took off are upper inter cooler pipe, heat shield. before when i had the non restrictive one it use to boost up to 6-7PSI but now when i finished installing the new turbo elbow after 3krpm it dosent blow the bov. and...
for the overflow coolent ,you have to take it out, use a long stick and move back the sensor back up. you will see it when you flash a light (with there with no fluid it there)
hi, im currently brought my rods and pistons to my machine shop and im wondering which was the rod is suppose to be on.
rod has markings: numbers on one side and dotted numbers on the other side.
so...if the piston is facing forward (arrow) is the dotted numbers facing left?
(reason i ask...
check your stuff first, stock boost is 6 or 6psi iirc...if your getting 4psi, either you have a boost leak or your gauge is not calibrated, mbc or ebc will get you to higher psi, but first check to make sure you have no boost leaks ect.
