Like the title says im trying to delete the whole system and just making sure i get it all, i have all the lines, condensor, and compressor out of the engine bay. Ive just pulled the dash and im trying to take out the rest. Can i take out all the a/c compinets and just leave everything for heating and defrost? and when i take everyting out behind the dash will all the wires be ok disconected?

It's your car so you can do whatever you wish. However, as with everything that has value, consider the resale. Completely removing the AC system, whether or not it was functional, will in some appreciable degree, devalue the vehicle. Of course, all not important if you plan to own the car *forever*, and what's the overall purpose.

Yes i am aware of that. it was functional but theirs things i am doing that will not allow me to keep the a/c. So why sound i keep the whole system if im not going to use it? if worst comes to work i can just reinstall it, but as it looks im not interested in getting rid of the car. Thanks for bringing that up though

While I am not with this mod, the weight is a good amount to remove from the nose. I think you should save all the parts for later installation.

Iirc the cooling unit (what Toyota calls the evap box) is the one to the intermediate left of the blower motor. It's the one that can be removed without removing the dash ;)

indeedly!

keep in mind that you can remove the plastic shell but you must take the evaporator out and then reinstall the plastic shell, otherwise you will have NO heat, or any air recirc for that matter as the condensor unit is right dab in the middle of the blower path.

I thought that would've been obvious but then again it should be obvious the box can be removed without needing to take out the dash or engine. If not there's always the service manual.

The condenser is in front of the radiator btw...

i want a write up too, planning to take out the ac components...but wondering if i can take it out while the engine is still in.

Yes u can take it out without the pulling the motor. theirs not that much to it, just the compressor, condensor, and a few lines that are in the bay
