Power steering pump conversion question for 2JZ

I'm doing a 2JZGTE swap into an '87 GE and I need to clarify the power steering high pressure line. I've been reading that I have two options, use the DM line or get a MKIV line. The MKIV line costs $600 (the quote I got from toyota). It also has an in-line cooler which I don't want...

    New From Kansas City Kansas

Well, I have an engine, it's from an '87 and all it will need is a wiring harness, intake pipes and a fuel injector resistor. The white one might be a decent deal, I am not sure if our years will match up.

    New From Kansas City Kansas

Welcome to the forum, congrats on the acquisition. What kind of parts are you after? I may be able to help with the engine. I also have a W58 transmission & driveshaft. I'm down here in Springfield MO... not too far away.

[SOLVED] Aristo 2JZ-GTE swap .. Won't run, but everything checks out good..

Dunno if this was brought up... Did you delete the charcoal canister and not swap to a vented gas cap?

    bov to atmosphere

+1 for recirculating. Tuning with SAFC or the adjustment screw on the TB are bandaid fixes that don't address the problem you're having.

    Missouri mk3 meet

I'm not sure the MKIII community is tight around these parts... I could be wrong. I'd be interested in a meet, but my supra won't be finished any time soon.

    1jz from a jza70 puffing white smoke after day 1 ):

I believe you need a vented gas cap to vent pressure in the tank if you cap that off . I don't know if thats causing your problems but thought i'd throw it out there.

    racing fuel?

Not if you're tuned properly. Not all race gas is leaded, but if you do get one that is leaded, it's true that your 02 sensor will hate you after they build up a lead forcefield on the sensor. Leaded ones typically work better, unleaded ones are harder to find.

Which Wideband Controller Should I use?

+1 on the NGK. It's the only one I reccomend to my friends, and I will be trashing the UEGO in my EVO for one soon. It's the closest to a lab quality wideband you can get (at what I think is a decent price). I have a link with all the test data, but I can't get on that forum at work..
