I'm doing a 2JZGTE swap into an '87 GE and I need to clarify the power steering high pressure line.

I've been reading that I have two options, use the DM line or get a MKIV line. The MKIV line costs $600 (the quote I got from toyota). It also has an in-line cooler which I don't want.

The DM line looks like the way to go, but how do I keep the vacuum switch for the power steering?

If I understand correctly, the DM line replaces this banjo bolt with a fitting and -6an hose (If I am wrong, please correct me):

Thanks in advance.

The DM line does not allow use of the PS idle up valve. Not a huge deal usually, but it was put there for a reason.
I used an aftermarket MKIV line made by GATES. IIRC it was more in the $100 range.

There is a bolt hole that it mounts too in the pan.

Rock auto also has the same line. There a vendor and have a discount code in there section.

Is this the one you're using?

Gates part number: 368770

Does yours have the hardline in the middle?

Thanks!

Yep, thats the one. You just have to find a way to mount it to the pan. If you can find stock brackets, great. i used a bracket i found at the junkyard, originally for holding trans cooler lines.
