Just curious as to what the SM communtiy thinks...Need to add a wideband and controller, and was wondering which one should I use and what experiences have others had. I am trying to decide between an AEM UEGO controller, or the Innovative LC-1 Wideband controller. Currently it will be just for monitoring as I do not have a piggyback or stand alone EMS but my future plans include a Maft-Pro, and then when I switch to the BIG turbo (several $$$$ later) (AKA Duane)::w00t:: I will be going to an AEM or MoTeC EMS. My current mods are just standard BPU's, stock fuel system with the exception of a Walboro 255 pump and Aeromotive AFPR and gauge. I am looking for the greatest measuring sensitivity AKA lowest possible to highest possible AFR's and the greatest flexibility with adding of a piggyback controller or stand alone. Thanks for the opinions...

another option is the zeitronix... has some very nice features...
but i've used two AEM's and they've worked good, have a friend with an innovative and i wonder if its accurate sometimes... but i do prefer the AEM cause the gauge is easy to just glance at, or you can stare for a second and know what your flowing.

I have a innovative wideband here.

My Eugo is crap! Didn't work when I bought it, and I sent it back to them. It came back and still doesn't work. Now they say it is probably my sensor. They made me pull the sensor before I sent it back. Why would they not have tested that?

Sounds like some sellers of the kit on ebay replace the bosch unit that should come with it to some cheap knock off from China, then repackage it and resell the bosch unit in a different add...bunch of Crooks! I have installed numerous AEM UEGOs and they are very user friendly. A ground a switched power is all you need to wire in. And they have two outputs, one for a datalogger and one for an ems. I also have in my car a powerdex afx I like the big digital display and it also has the two outputs.
I can get widebands for a decent price pm me if you are interested.

I know that driftmotion sells the UEGO and for a great price, bout the lowest ive seen other than ebay.
basically every wideband out there uses the bosch sensor... so to say that the sensor is crap in the uego is really funny, becuase the innovative sensor is the same.
and if any of you were on the DSM forums, you can get a uego for $219shipped to your door right now...

I can get the AEM wideband for a good price if there is interest I will see about making a group buy happen.

I bought mine on here from Idealsupra. He did 3 group buys on here for them, and had very few complaints from anybody. I talked to him at first, and he told me AEM had a very good customer service. I followed his instruction, and have found AEM to be helpful and easy to work with. I have dragged my feet on replacing the sensor, which I believe to be the correct one. I fought with trying to make it work too long , and could be bad due to my incredibly rich set up (it is black already). If replacing that doesn't help, I will consult with Jayson (Idealsupra) about how to proceed.
Zeitronics on my car along with SAFC II very user friendly. i love the damn thing. very nice features too. installed once and never had a problem. been running it a little over a year now.
Yup a wideband is next on my list. I'll be getting the Zeitronix because it also logs, egt, rpm, boost, afr, and tps all on one screen and the software is amazing. This way when you go to dyno your car you can see what it's doing at a certain rpm and tune from there. Best out there I think.

+1 on the NGK. It's the only one I reccomend to my friends, and I will be trashing the UEGO in my EVO for one soon. It's the closest to a lab quality wideband you can get (at what I think is a decent price). I have a link with all the test data, but I can't get on that forum at work..
