And while Nissan may makr it as an undocumented feature, or say it should be used rarely, or discourage uit's use entirely.
Hell even if they say never use it, we've made it hard to get to because you shouldn't!
Then they certainly shouldn't use it's result, that being a very quick time to whatever Kph, as a major marketing feature and major "Gee look at what this car can do, look at what you will be capable of doing if you buy our wizzbang car" in there press through magazines etc. If you arn't actually allowed to do it in the car after you do buy one.
I could just see it now if there were a hidden feature that allowed the supra to rev to 14,000RPM and have boost for one or two tries at 4 bars that allowed it to be the fastest productiion car ever made to 60, and did the 1/4 mile in 7 seconds flat. But then after getting the car you are forbidden to do it, but it seemed like such a shiny feature they touted over and over.
Come to think of it, I bet the car could rev to 14k..............once, LOL, they, knowing toyota, probably would in fact warrenty you anyways because they are damn good like that.
Hell, I've driven my supra freaken hard, from the day I bought it, back in 1990. Yes, I'm the original owner. My tranny has sustained, from day one, without one complaint ever, countless waterbox burnouts, 1/4 mile runs and 2-500RWHP 7m's and one 600+RWHP 7m with nothing more than a clutch upgrade.........ever. I'm about to drop a even more powerful 2j into it's lap now, and only now will I open the thing and give it a once over and refresher. I seruiously doubt from the sounds of it that the GTR tranny would fair life so well in place of my good ol r154.
